I have severe rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and carpal tunnel in both wrists. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Well I have been seeing the same Dr for the last 8 yrs and because people can't follow directions, or abuse their medication is why I am now looking for a new LEGITIMATE Dr. His practice made a decision to no longer write pain medication, bc they do not have the resources or time to monitor it properly. He wrote me a excellent referral letter, saying I follow all guidelines, and am a good patient. My grandfather has Stage 4 lung cancer and we have been trying to fill his Dilaudid script for a very long time. I don't know which pharmacy to go to because it seems they are dry. If anyone has ANY avaiable information I would greatly appreciate it because I cannot stand to see my grandfather in so much pain. Please help. ## Have you tried any of the local hospital pharmacies? I used to live in the Richmond, VA area up until June of 2013, when I made the mistake of moving to Texas for 2 years, and now I'm back in the area. I have also been in chronic pain now for almost 14 years, have had 1 spinal surgery in '09 that was quite successful...until I was rear ended at a stoplight by some 'jerk' (note the PC term) going 65 -> 70 mph less than 18 months later. I’ve been on Xanax during a few rough times for me in the past. I had a good psychiatrist (who is now retired) who would prescribe it for up to two months followed by a one-month taper plus gabapentin to reduce side effects of coming off of it. I lost my job a few months ago, still go to therapy for help using CBT for anxiety, but it’s become significantly worse now with money becoming very tight and still not finding anything. Hello I need to find a new pcp in Richmond, VA that will take over prescribing my medications. I have a history of lyme disease, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic anxiety. I was informed by my pcp that I would no longer be treated after over three years of being a patient. I had a very serious mva 10 years ago, and have had chronic thoracic back pain, right sided hip pain, and bilateral shoulder pain. I had closed head trauma with periods of memory loss. i will NOT stop doing the things that i enjoy, i.e. horseback riding, gardening , hiking, swimming!!!I need to find a pain specialist who will work with me. I have Sciatica, Spondeliosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and Fibromyalgia in both my hips & legs, I have had 3 sets of nerve blocker injections that did not help. I have had a massive heart attack. Therefore, i have a defibrillator and 2 stents. I now take a lot of medicines. So my doctor said my potassium was low. Now I find myself can barely walk because of my thighs and calf hurt so bad. My thighs hurts to even touch them. I have found taking a very hot shower sooth the pain. What should I do? Unless you are a rich spoiled brat or some rich widow Jublia will cost you approx 700-1000 dollars per month. Most insurance will not cover it. And at that cost it is only 18% effective. Give me a break or let me win the lottery. ## Just an FYI. My podiatrist who was treating my big toenails originally told me Jublia would cost about $1000 per bottle.
