12 Topics FoundIs there an interaction with lisinopril if there is an allergy to codeine? ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? No, Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor that's most commonly used to treat hypertension and certain cardiac conditions, so it is not related to Codeine. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and dry cough. Is there anything else I can help with?

Found a very small, peach-colored pill. Has the number 282 on one side, and "IG" on the other. I think it's a 5mg flexeril, but would like confirmation please. ? ## Hi Kathleen, From what I could gather, a round peach pill marked with IG on one side and 282 on the other, is reportedly identified as a 5mg Cyclobenzaprine tablet - the generic for Flexeril. Apparently it's a muscle relaxer but has an off-label use for fibromyalgia as well. And for added verification, this pill is listed as being manufactured by a company called InvaGen Pharma. It also carries a National Drug Code of 68462-0552. I hope this info helps!
I have been using dilaudid and morphine sulfate for the past month for post op revision hip surgery. and quit taking it gradually for the past week. How long does it take to get over the hot and cold sweats and the post op depression. ## Hi, Kathleen! Sorry about the symptoms you're still having. It's a bit difficult to say how long it will take for them to go away, it can vary form person to person and it could take a couple more weeks. Are you certain that they are all due to stopping the medication and having the surgery? There are other things that may cause it, including hormones, stress, your trepidations over the surgery itself… Have you consulted your doctor?
Hi. I am scheduled for a surgery in 2 weeks, in which I'll be having general anesthesia. Does anybody know if the Contrave will interact with the meds they give you to put you out? I'm just getting started with this. I hate to quit, but safety first. Thanx for your replies. ## Hi Kathleen, If you have a moment, I would probably encourage you to give a quick call to the anesthesiologist and/or surgeon just to be safe. One other thing I wanted to mention is that according to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool) there are no interactions listed between Contrave and the anesthesia itself. However, alcohol appears to be an inert ingredient in one of the most commonly used intravenous anesthetic solutions known as Propofol. The bupropion in Contr...
I was recently prescribed Hydrocodone with Tylenol. It is a new formula per the pharmacist (5-325). I have had this drug in the past and found that it worked well. This new formula isn't helping my pain. Can you tell me why? I know I had Lortab before. Is this the same drug? Thanks ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? This isn't a new formula, nor a new dosage. There are several on the market that contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, including Lortab, Norco, Vicodin and others. As to why it's not helping, it just might not be the right dosage or the right medication for you. Just because it has worked in the past, doesn't always mean it will work again, since our bodies do change with time. Learn more Vicodin details here. Have you contacted your doctor about it? ## That...
Hello. I am 16 months post epclusa and feel worse than when I started. I was a server for over 40 years. Full of energy. Then hep c happened. I had epclysa for 12 weeks. Now I am in bed most of the tune from no energy. My ears are ringing. I feel deflated. Anyone else feel like this? My hep c nurse waived off my complaints. ## Hi Kathleen, I really feel for you, I finished Epclusa a year ago and like you I've had so many side effects l can hardly walk most afternoons due to leg joint pain. I get exhausted so easily, nausea, numb toes/fingers; probably a circulation problem. I did not have any of these problems pre-treatment. I've also got Edema on my legs and my stomach is really swollen. I feel so uncomfortable and unbalanced. If I mention this to the hep C liver people they ju...
I have been taking Lexapro 10 mg for a year. It controls my anxiety wonderfully. I started having itching (small bumps on my lower legs) which the dermatologist says are normal. I've also begun to have itching on my arms, my buttocks, my upper legs - pretty much all over. Has anyone ever heard of Lexapro causing these symptoms? ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? Yes, it can cause itching as a side effect in some people that take it. After being on it for such a long time, if it hasn't gone away, you most likely need to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?
## my daughter is supposed to get 7.5ml of this and I accidentally gave it to her twice within 2hours. Is this bad? ## I have been on this medication and ever since I have been on this drug I have had a lot of trouble sleeping and even when I do sleep I have really weird dreams. Has anyone else experienced this? ## I've been on trimethoprim for about 4 days days and i've been having similar effects as Kathleen. every time i sleep (if i sleep) i'm having very odd dreams. i realised this morning it must be the drug affecting my dreams. ## I have been on sulfamethoxazole with trimethoprim now for almost three weeks. The first week was fine, but in the last two weeks I have slept no more than two hours a night. And it's not two hours of constant sleep, it's like a bunch ...
As a child, I was given Marax to help when I had an asthma attack. I remember being afraid to take the Marax pill. It would make me sleepy. When I would go to bed I would feel paralyzed. I had the feeling that if I allowed myself to fall asleep, I would die. It felt as though a great weight was pressing on my body. I couldn't move. As an adult I have learned that I may be malignant hyperthermia susceptible. I am curious if there is a correlation between the drug Marax and malignant hyperthermia. ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? I'm sorry about everything you've been through. It's a shame that as a child it wasn't explained to you that those are all just symptoms of dreams. Sleep paralysis like that occurs in many people and is fairly common, especially under the infl...
My husband has been on exelon patch for about three years but his alzheimers is progressing faster at this point I think moving into the severe stage. This medication costs us over $400 per month and that's with our insurance paying for part of it. Our income is going down and we cannot afford for him to take this any longer. Can you safely quit cold turkey, should you cut the patches in half for a month or two. Surely someone has had this problem. What kinds of reactions can we expect to see if he no longer uses the exelon patch? ## Kathleen there are numerous pharmaceutical companies who will give you your medications for free due to financial hardships. Goto the website for the company who makes the medication in question and search for financial hardship or how to get said medic...
Makes me feel bad at times. Cannot get a deep breath, have bad headaches about an hour after my treatments, I have to do 9 puffs 4 times per day. The headaches can last for hours. I take many types of medication before and after but have discovered that one Alka Seltzer tab in 2 oz of water takes it away. I don't like this med. I do have more energy though. I have stopped taking it, can't deal with the side effects. I had an echo cardio 2 weeks ago and tomorrow go to my pulmonary doctor for all the results. I am sure he won't be happy because I stopped. I have discussed it all with him before to no avail. Anyone the same? Talk to me. Only serious no jokes please. ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problems that you were experiencing with this medi...
