Is There Anything To Help With Withdrawal
100+ Topics FoundWithdrawal from Norco just started and I took a couple to fix the pain. Will these withdrawal symptoms go away if I continue with my normal dosage? If not I'm screwed. ## Hello, Chuck! How are you? Yes, taking them should stop the withdrawal symptoms, though it likely won't be immediate, it may take a day, or so. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal symptoms as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. The best thing to do, if you want to stop taking them is to gradually reduce your dosage, by taking less each day and spacing your doses further apart. Your doctor can help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon thank you very much, I had ran out a bit early just due to a busy month. ...
I'm confused!!! In this thread, Gabapentin and Pregabapentin are said to be the same drug then someone else says no, they're difference. I CANNOT take Gabapentin as it makes me crazy and angry. Is Pregabapentin going to do the same??? Also is there ANYTHING else anyone can think of to get off of Oxycodone??? I've been addicted for 15 years and a heavy user due to true pain. The last time I ran out I almost died. Can someone please help me with any suggestion other than rehab or Suboxone to get off of this??? Thank you!!! ## Hello, Diva! How are you? I believe you have the names mixed up. They are Gabapentin and Pregabalin, they are both in the same drug class, but are different medications. Both are classified by the FDA as anticonvulsants that have been proven to help with ...

How are you? Yes, though not foolproof, it is always safe to use the withdrawal method. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The side effects of your oral contraceptive, as listed by the FDA, may include breakthrough bleeding, PMS-like symptoms, nausea and headache. ## thank you so much fr your reply... ## cel, you...
Any One Know Any Suboxone Dr.s Close To Indy Taking MDwise- HIP? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? You can use the search engine on the Suboxone website to look for doctors in your area that treat with it. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. You can search by zip code and the doctor's contact information will be included, so you can check to see if they accept your insurance and are taking new patients. Hi. I was taking Oleanz 5mg for one month after a mild Traumatic brain injury in a road accident. The doctor asked me to stop Oleanz to cure my dizziness. This was about 2 weeks back. Since a few days after I stopped, I feel a complete state of panic and anxiety every morning when I wake up. Even though mentally I'm not worried or thinking of anything, my heart is beating very fast and I feel really scared and anxious. Sometimes it happens again before I go to sleep at night. I know I was taking Oleanz for only a month, but can this be due to withdrawal? The feeling of sheer panic and anxiety every morning is becoming quite unbearable. ## In this situation, it is hard to say, it could be due to stopping the medication, or due to the brain injury, according to NIH reports. You may al...
I am a soon to be 71 year-old female with paroxysmal A-Fib--started 5 years ago. I take Eliquis 5 mg/twice daily. I generally am not in A-Fib, but for some dental and surgeries have needed to discontinue Eliquis 2 to 3 days prior. I have researched everywhere and spoke to my cardiologist and PCP as well asking about withdrawal symptoms. As even missing one dose, I get flushed, shaky, and increased heart rate until I go back on the drug. Even asked pharmacist but they look at all the info on the warnings label. I also take 240MG Cartia XL and 7.5 MG Norvasc and OTC omeprazole and Vitamin D and that's all. Anyone experience this? ## Hello, Mary! How are you doing? It is normal to experience some types of mild withdrawal effects if you abruptly stop taking anything that you've been...
i would like to know the withdrawal symtoms ## Well, drawing from my husband's experience with this medication, I can tell you some of them: insomnia, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and irritability. ## I've been on Risperidone for years. Having the same s&s as you describe. I feel terrible. ## My son is going through withdrawal symptoms from this medication. He has uncontrolled movements all over his body, and extreme irritability. He will be playing and if something doesn't work the way he wants he will scream at the top of his lungs and throw whatever it is across the room. These are the things I notice. He's not complaining of anything else other than I have also noticed he has had changes in his bowel habit, its harder for him to have a bowel movement la...
I have been on vibryd for almost 3 months and notice nothing. It is like I'm immune to every anti-depressant out there. I've almost convinced myself that nothing will work to help with my sad thoughts. I've decided to stop taking vibryd because I feel there is no reason to take a pill if it does no good. Does anyone know if there are side effects coming off of this med. It has been three days now and I haven't noticed anything yet. I was up to 40 mg. ## I see this was posted several days ago. How are things going? If I'd have read this post sooner, the biggest warning I'd have given is to watch for the rebound depression, suddenly stopping a medication like this may cause some depressive symptoms that are worse than the ones you started taking it for. Stopped taking Zoloft cold turkey about 4 months ago had been taking it for over 2 yrs 75 mg. how long do withdrawals last? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? It usually only takes a month or so, so if you're still experiencing symptoms after 4 months, you should have yourself checked out, as there may be something else causing them. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal symptoms as possibly including rebound depression, rebound anxiety, diarrhea, fever, chills and dizziness. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hello, I have taken Vicodin, Tramadol, OR Lortabs OFF AND ON for the past 6 years. By off and on I mean, maybe two months on and four months off, throughout that time period. Over the last year and a half it has been strictly Vicodin, maybe one to one and a half of the m360's a day. Usually one in the morning and one in the evening. And this too has been off and on..stopping for a couple months, starting for a couple months. I haven't taken anything in a little over 2 weeks now and I still seem to have withdrawal effects that I normally never had. Every morning I wake up feeling "hungover", I get headaches almost everyday, my GI tract is always jumpy, I'm shaky and sweaty. It's just really weird to me that I am still going through this stuff..but the biggest thin...
I have been off Lexapro for almost a week now (1 year on 20mg) I am having horrible withdrawals eg. Feeling like Im being zapped through my head chest & arms, especially when I move, insomnia, feeling obsessive, feeling manic, no concentration, feeling like I'm not myself and so on.. I'm just wanting to know if there is anything I can do as I am so close to just starting back on them, I don't know if I can handle this ## Hello, Emily! How are you doing? Have things improved, at all, yet? That is fairly typical for withdrawal from SSRIs, according to the information provided by the FDA. Generally, tapering is preferred, rather than stopping cold turkey, to prevent the worst of the withdrawal and rebound effects. You may also experience nausea, chills and diarrhea. It usua...
I've taken belviq twice a day for 3 months (i think- one bottle worth). I didn't refill the RX and now, 4 days later I'm very dizzy and heart is racing. Is this withdrawal from Belviq? I can't find anything online about it. ## I have headaches and exhausted after 4 days without belviq. I too have been taking for 3 months 2 x a day. ## Sorry to hear about what you both are having to go through as a result of taking Belviq. I truly hope things are getting better day by day as the medication continues to leave your body... While I don't know if Belviq has been known to cause withdrawals or not, NIH.gov does list the following symptoms as side effects of Belviq (Lorcaserin): dizziness headaches excessive tiredness anxiety (which in my experience, can cause the heart to r...

Does anyone have a solution to adderrall withdrawal? OTC behind the pharmacy counter meds? Anything? Long story short the 20 mg weren't working and I ran out a week early. The depression and fatigue are horrible. Anyone have a solution to this? ## It helps if you can sleep because your body is adjusting to the medication not being in your system. Sometimes it helps to drink some coffee, but it doesn't help much. Do Not drink too much coffee. This is Not a situation where more is better. You do need to discuss the Adderall not working with your dr. ## Hi Stephen, Sorry to hear about your situation. BL's advice is spot on! I just wanted to add a variety of other suggestions outside of coffee that may be worth looking into: *The caffeine contained in tea has more of what I woul...
I've been taking seroquel xr 200mg x 2 a day. I've been taking it for a year and a half now and I'm wanting to have a baby but I'm scared to death of the withdrawals. I've read some scary stories as well as dangers of the drug I wasn't aware of. Any advise/suggestions? ## Hello, Niki! How are you? I would suggest consulting your doctor. They will be able to help you with a proper and safe way to taper off of the medication, before you become pregnant. That would be far better than trying to get ideas on internet. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've tried to taper off with my doctors approval but I was got so sick after changing the dosage one time. I was hoping there may be a vitamin or a supplement to help with the withdrawals.
If I was able to stop taking Percocet, can I take again without having to go through withdrawals again? I don't want to go through that again, but if I don't abuse will it start all over again? ## Just following; sorry I can't help you. ## No, if you take it for a long period of time again, even if you don't abuse it, your body will, once again, become dependent on it and a sudden cessation will result in some withdrawal effects. This is completely and the only way to try to avoid such would be by doing a slow taper off of a medication, rather than suddenly stopping it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Okay, so say I stay clean for a month, if I take a couple perk 10's just one night maybe once a month or twice a month will I have withdrawl symptoms like I ...
My diabetic and hypertensive mother (age 88) was recently hospitalized for weakness and frequent falling. She has been on clonidine and a new doctor took her off it. She has been having horrible waves of nausea and diarrhea for about a week and a half now. She has to force herself to eat a couple of bites of each meal, and she weighed all of 92 pounds when she went in. Besides the hell she is going through, I am worried about her wasting away. How long does the clonidine withdrawal process last? ## Are you saying they just abruptly took her off of it? Did they replace it with something else? Are they providing supportive therapy? I doubt that the hospital will really let her waste away, if she starts to lose too much weight and isn't holding anything down, they will force nutrients ...
Taking myself off of Prestiq. Very dizzy and I have thrown up several times. However, I just want to go cold turkey and want to know how long these withdrawal symptoms will last? ## IT can vary from person to person and depends on the dosage, as well as how long you were taking it. It could range anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, give or take. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Have you tried anything to help with nausea and vomiting?
anyone having problems after stopping harvoni? ## Hello, Kat! How are you? What type of symptoms are you experiencing? I'm not seeing anything about it causing withdrawal symptoms, but it is a relatively new drug. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, diarrhea, headache and weakness. Withdrawal effects would usually be virtually opposite, so may include constipation, dizziness and drowsiness. How long were you on it? ## Hello, I also am having withdrawel feelings, I am constantly tired, I feel fatiqued, slight head ache, have a sick feeling in my stomach I completed the the Harvoni treatment, I pretty much had these same feelings on the Harvoni. I saw my doctor 2 weeks ago, he had me do some blood work, I go back this morning to see him, I hope he has s...
I have a friend that was addicted to percocet. She was taking on average 12 pills (10s) a day. She stopped cold turkey and has been clean for 13 days. She has experienced all the talked about side effects (sleeplessness, irritability, depression, etc.). Tonight, however, it was something completely different. She was slurring her words, she wobbled when she walked, she didn't have any idea what was going on like where she had been or what she had been doing. Could this also be a withdrawal symptom? It was shocking and scary to me because it has been 13 days off the drug and this is the first that anything like this has happened. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! ## I believe she went sober for the 13 days and then took one too much. I am so sorry to hear about this incident...
