Is It Good For Headaches

I have had headaches for about 30 years. I have been to many doctors and tried a dozen or so medications while spending well over $10,000 and having good insurance. Three years ago a neurologist proscribed Diclofinic pot 50. It worked like a charm! I was amazed. Now I get a letter saying effective 1/1/19 Humanna is not going to cover it, at all. Not put it another more expensive class but just not cover it at all. Does anyone know why? It’s not an opioid drug. They recommend Diclofinic sot? Never heard of it. Can someone please weigh in on this. I’m scared. ## Hello Kurtiss, According to the NIH Diclofenec pot 50 is simply a 50mg dose of diclofenac potassium, also known as cataflam. Looking on the NIH's list of medication there seem to be a large number of generics avail...

I am on Day 30 of Efudex treatment on the top of my nose and a small area on my chest. I stopped the cream on Day 28 as the skin was starting to erode. I've had headaches the past two weeks that won't go away with ibuprofen, Goody's headache powders, tylenol... nothing. It's caused me to generally feel like crap. Anyone else have these headaches? ## Headaches are a possible side effect of Effudex, according to FDA reports, other side effects may include skin burning, dizziness, chills, and nasal irritation. How long has it been since you stopped using it, now? Has there been any change? Have you informed your doctor of the problem? ## Headaches are common apparently, as is nausea and other gastric issues. And they can vary a lot between individuals. Serious side-effects ...

Actually due to a lot of stress i felt heavy, weakness, got headaches, chest pain radiating towards my left hand side. I was unable to walk. i I'm 26 yrs old. Hence i thought of taking Ecosprin 75mg. I took it on that day. I got very much relief. But the next day i didnt take it. Now after two days i'm getting severe headaches and weakness, but no chest pain or hand pain. Is aspirin 75mg causing any severe effects? It was a gastro resistant drug. Enteric coated i think. After taking the drug, after 15min i slept for 2 hours. ## Given your symptoms, you need to consult a doctor, as reported by the NIH, they could be the signs of a possibly serious health problem, such as a heart attack, stroke, or heart disease, as well as other issues. It is not worth the risk to your life and h...

Does anyone know if the generic brand of Klonopin gives you headaches? ## Maria, I suffer from migraines & I have taken klonepin for awhile. It has never caused me a headache. It does, however, allow me slight relief. Good luck ## Unfortunately, almost everything known to man has headache listed among side effects, but somethings do have a significantly higher reputation for causing them than others. The PDR and other references often have listings for side effects by percentage, in other words, they may say how many patients reported headache. Try a google for klonipin headache side effect. Very often I see folks asking for information easily available on google searches, it just takes getting used to what search terms work best and sifting through the top ones to find useful respo...

I have been taking contrave for 8 days, took the second dose and woke up the next day with a headache. Took my morning dose and ended up with a high fever (102) headache and just achy all over. Haven't taken it since then and still have fevers and neck ache. How long will this last? ## Wrong email was set up with last post ## Hi mitchel, Sorry to hear about your experience with Contrave. From what I've researched, headaches, fever, & joint/muscle pain are all listed as potential side effects associated with this medication. While I'm not aware of how long these symptoms last, I do know that if I were in such a predicament, I wouldn't allow myself to continue taking something that had that kind of impact on my body and general well-being...and think you made a good de...

I have suffered from insomnia for years. Tried one sleeping pill after another. Azor is not prescribed for sleeping as such but it did help for me for a while. After 6 months I found that I needed a higher dose to make me drowsy enough to sleep. But the side effect was drowsiness the next morning and headaches. It made me lethargic the next day and my productivity went down the drain. I accidently discovered a video clip on cannabis oil on youtube. I tried it out. (Cooked in olive oil) I never had a problem sleeping again. Never felt lethargic the next morning. I generally felt much healthier over all. And the spot of skin cancer I had disappeared in 3 months. Cannabis is unfortunately illegal mainly because if it was not many pharmaceutical companies would lose big business. Please edu...

I have a condition called diverticulitis is this the correct medicine to take to clear up a flare up and do you have to take it for the full 7 to 10 days? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? You should always take any antibiotic for the full period of time it has been prescribed. Not doing so creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Medications can affect everyone differently, so what works well for someone else may not work for you and vice-versa. They both contain the same active ingredients, so in theory they should work the same. Are there any other comments or questions? ## they work better to me than the blue ones ## I think the blue ones are very diff than the white ones. It seems as if the blue ones have more caffeine. ## I agree with you, they are not the same, if you have true headaches, true migraines, true cluste...

Aspergum was the best product I have found for a sore throat. I didn't chew it for headaches, just for a sore throat. Actually, according to information I have been reading about sugarless gum, I'd rather chew Aspergum. The sugar substitutes used today are way more harmful than Aspergum could be. I agree about a "bring back Aspergum" campaign. Maybe someone would actually listen to the comments of the "little guy" sometime. If it was around for so many years, why all of a sudden did it no longer become worthwhile. Check out the information on sugar substitutes used in sugarless gums and then decide if you want to chew those products anymore. BRING BACK ASPERGUM! ## Aspergum is gone forever. So Sad! The green and white tablets are not effective. These new green and yellow capsules are not as effective as the white tablets with a V on them. What's up. If drug companies are cutting corners I will turn them in to the FDA for a full investigation. I get constant headaches and I MUST have a medicine that works ## Hello, Connie! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're getting headaches. Many people have said the same thing about these, they just don't seem to work as well for most people. However, it isn't that the manufactured is cutting corners, they are allowed to differ from the name brand in the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20%, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. Thus, these ones may be a little lower than the others and too low t...

My Dr. took me off lisinopril-hctz because of headaches and body weakness. I felt better with the losartan 50mg but my blood pressure shot up to 200/100. Would the losartan work in a combo with lisinopril-hctz; possibly taking the losartan in the evening? ## Do not mix meds. Pharmacist told me that. I was taken off Lisinopril and switched to Losartan 50 mg a day. Blood pressure does not stay regular. I get dizzy. I hate bp meds. I hope we get this straightened out. Losartan seems to be better so far but I am scared that my BP will not get better. Just do not mix medications. Call your doctor and he can adjust. I'm not from that area so unfortunately I don't know of a doctor that I can refer you to, however I thought I'd give you some information about a couple different pain treatment methods you might be interested in trying. First method I want to mention is acupuncture, I've personally been treated with acupuncture (for a painful nerve in my foot) and it was very successful, quick, and basically painless! I've even considered going back to treat migraines that I've been dealing with and joint pain. The second, is acupressure- which is less invasive tha...
