I took an ibuprofen 800mg 3 hours ago and my pain didn't go away. Is it safe to take a percocet 10/325 (a333) with it? ## Hello, Ttrina! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between Percocet and Ibuprofen, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. And this only applies if you're sure that you took Ibuprofen. Tylenol contains Acetaminophen and so does Percocet, so you can't combine them, because it could result in overdose toxicity. I had ankle surgery yesterday and they put 2 plates and 10 screws in my ankle. I was prescribed Tylenol 3s and ibuprofen 800mg when I went to the urgent care the day before surgery and was prescribed Valium 5mg and Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-325 after surgery. Would it be safe for me to take a Valium 5mg and Tylenol 3 together for the pain to hold me over until it’s time for me to take my Norco again in 3 hours? Please advise. Thank you. ## You should not combine the Tylenol 3 and Norco, since they both contain opiate narcotics, as well as Tylenol/Acetaminophen. You should really stick with one, or the other. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with DDS and at first by back pain was minimal. After a year or so it began to get bad enough for me to see the Dr. every 3 months or so for a prescription of Oxycodone and 800mg Ibuprofen. I have since moved and my Dr I have now told me flat out he would not give me "narcotics". Why do Dr's treat us this way. I have medical records showing my valid medical issue. If anyone can recommend a pain friendly Dr who will not make me feel embarrassed to ask for help, please email me. I live in Avondale AZ ## Have you considered a pain management specialist? That would probably be your best bet to get the help you need, since many general practitioners aren't specially trained in treating pain and are reluctant to prescribe for it.
