Is it safe to take Hydroco Apap 10-325 mg when taking Cumadin(Warfarin)? ## The Acetaminophen, that is coupled with the Hydrocodone, can increase the blood thinning properties of the Warfarin and thus, increase the risk of bleeding. Is the prescribing doctor aware that you are taking both? Sometimes, the dosage must be adjusted accordingly and you should know to watch for any signs of bleeding and report them to your doctor immediately.

I have taken Hydroco/Apap for about six years for chronic pain. Sometimes the caplets are white, sometimes yellow. When they are yellow I itch badly after taking them. I don't understand why as I've been told by the Pharmacist that they are the same thing. Can you shed any light on my problem? Could it have anything to do with the color? Thank you. ## Hello, Lina! I have taken the dosage as prescribed by Dr. and started with no side effects.The last 3 days though I have experienced frequent vomiting and can not even keep water down until the med has worn out.Is there any relation to vicitin which is what I thought the Dr. was supposed to prescribe to th pharmacy. ## Well, the Hydrocodone in this is a narcotic, so it can cause the nausea and vomiting, as a side effect, especially if you aren't used to taking it. Unfortunately, there isn't an assistance program for this, since it is a generic medication. What difference between Watson/10-325? ## Both contain Hydrocodone 10 mg and Acetaminophen 325 mg. ## BL is correct! Thus, the only difference is that they have been manufactured by different companies. Watson, of course for the one, and Intrapharm for the other. What is the difference? ## The 10/325 has 5 more mgs. of hydrocodone than the 5/325. Go Figure!!!!! ## That is correct, one tablet has 5mgs of Hydrocodone and the other has 10mgs of it and the APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen. Why can my DR. not prescribe the HYdrocodone apap 10/660 .reason being i was on it for about 7 years with no side affects and could stop taking it anytime with no problems. The narco 10/325 i have to take twice as many to git the same results, and have constipation problems. ## In Jan 2014, the FDA required manufactuers to limit the amount of tylenol in prescription meds to no more than 325 mgs. They no longer make a med rx with 660 mg tylenol. ## @Rocky, BL is right about the new law limiting the amount of acetaminophen to 325mgs. does hydrocodone apap come in 12.5/500 mg ## No, before the DEA made changes the maximum dosage available only contained 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, since the changes, the maximum available contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. I have been taking norco 10/325 yellow oval pill for a few years but yesterday what I got was different they were white oblong pills which says hyd/apap 10/325 mg tab amnea on it and the numbers on the tablet are G 037. Are they the same? I have a right below the knee amputation due to a land mine that happened in 1968, have never needed pain meds up until 2 to 3 years ago at which time my doc prescribed hydroc/apap 10-650 mg--formerly lortab.Now it has been changed to the same thing only in a 10-325 mg which from what I have been told was due to a change in the law Jan 2014-the 10-650 did a fair job if I oook one every 4 hrs of course the 10-325 do not seem to help very much, have about a 8 out of ten on the pain chart. My wife was given Oxycod/ap 5-325 when she had Cancer surgery, I have taken some of the leftovers and can go 8 to 10 hrs without much pain at all. I take methadone hcl 10 MG tab for Fibromyalgia. I have hydrocortisone Apap 7.5 325MG tab as a backup to help when the pain gets too intense. But I'm out of town and I'm out of methadone. I have hydroco. My question to you is, how many hydroco do I need to take a day to equal to the methadone.
