I am finding that when I take my PRN (as needed) dose of IR morphine any time after 4 pm, no matter what I take, lorazepam, ambien, phenergan, soma that I can't fall asleep and if I do it's that "yen" type of sleep where I am kind of in a trance. I am finding that I need the PRN dosing more and more at night so what can I do to counter the effects. In the day it makes me sleepy but at night it's completely different. I've asked my doctor about it and for a different solution but he says there is nothing stronger or better that he can prescribe that I can afford - I don't have prescription coverage. I've looked into the affordability of some of the other options and they are more than my mortgage! I can't qualify for any RX assistance because I am on M...

How do I avoid the horrible nausea and vomiting from my 30mg ER morphine pills prescribed to me. It is causing this on a weekend and no offices are open or available other than the ER, which this is not a real emergency. ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Have you tried taking them with food, or milk? In many cases that can help, because they can be very rough on an empty stomach. ## How can I stop the dizziness? I can't get it to stop. I've been taking 30mg for lower back pain. ## Take it with gravol. Gravol is an antiemetic which helps deal with balance and could help with dizziness.

I am an athlete and I was diagnosed with a DVT a year ago, after waiting 5 hours at the emergency with a broken arm. I took coumadin for 3months, 5mg, the same year. Now I still train and I am very active. However, my blood pressure raised quickly and severely in the past months. My doctor doesn't know the cause. I talked with the specialist who gave the prescription of coumadin and he told me that it's possible due to the use of the medication. He told me that some people end up with high blood pressure and some with other complications. THIS MEDICATION IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! TRY TO AVOID IT! IT'S POISON... Opt for other medications. ## Thanks for the heads up on this medication. There seem to be many discussion threads here relating to the issues people were having with i...

Fruits to avoid, meats, fish, poultry, cereals, nuts etc. ## Hello, Alex! How are you? As reported by the NIH, the main things to avoid are sweets and high fat foods, which means you also need to watch your fruit intake. However, beyond that, there is no specific list that can be given. Carbohydrates can raise your blood sugar, but it varies from person to person how much they affect it and which ones, some people seem to tolerate certain foods much better than others. The best thing to do is to make sure you eat a healthy, well balanced diet and get lots of exercise. You should also avoid alcohol, because it can lower blood sugar and shouldn't be mixed with most medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

Wat will happen to me? ## Hello, Kera! How are you? It isn't dangerous to do so, it can just affect how much of the medication your body absorbs, so you may need another dose of it, if the yeast infection doesn't clear up. Is there anything else I can help with?

I suffer of apnea during sleep and cronically to face the syntoms of excessive daytime sleeping i must to take modafinil, but this drug unfortumately give tolerance for neuro adaption , there is a way to reduce Tolerance In Order Not Increase The Dosage Of Modafinil?. I believe that the key is in CYP3A4, but i am not a neuroscientist. Some suggestions? THANKS ## I am also not a doctor or neuroscientist. However, from what I know, some doctors help their patients achieve this by having them take time off of taking such medications, or by occasionally switching to a different medication for a period of time. Doing this helps prevent your body from building up a tolerance to it. Learn more Modafanil details here. Have you tried any of the other stimulant medications? If so, did you have an...

During my urination,I notice that my urine is pale in colour and its smells bad, sometimes i feel like vomiting when i smell it. I just want to know, what cause this, and what antiobiotics can be taken to avoid dis? ## You need to go see a doctor. I am a female and immediately know when I have a kidney infection because my urine has the nastiest smell and it's also extremely foggy. If this is the case for you go see a doctor now, I can only take cipro for my kidney infections because of my allergy to sulfa drugs. Go to an urgent care if you have to, a kidney infection is no joke

I know I should not drink alcohol, or citrus juices (grapefruit) Are there other foods I should avoid? What about coffee, and yogurt? (a bacterial culture) I have a urinary tract infection and would like to have my morning coffee but fear it may aggrevate the urinary tract. ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim, the active ingredient in Bactrim is actually only warned about in conjunction with the alcohol. There are no warnings with using it, when eating or drinking anything else, though you may want to check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. As to the coffee, that is the main concern with it, it is acidic and worsen the irritation and pain of a UTI. This medication may cause other side effects, which might include: nausea, drowsiness, diarrhea and skin rash. Are there any o...

Are there certain foods I should not take with carbo-levo? Should I take it with meals? ## From what I've read, the combination of Carbidopa + Levodopa can be administered with food to reduce the likelihood of nausea; however, it should be noted that using multivitamins or minerals together with levodopa may decrease the effects of your medication. Additionally, a high-protein diet may also reduce its absorption and overall efficacy. That said, it might be best to take this medication by itself or in between meals, to help avoid any chance of it not working as effectively as it should. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Carbidopa + Levodopa Details I hope this helps!

pls tell me tablet to avoid periods this month as i am travelling during my due date ## Hi hajira, To my knowledge there aren't any pills to delay something that naturally occurs as a result of being a woman. While there are certain medications that can cause irregular periods as a side effect, I don't think there's any way of truly knowing when or how often they can delay or change your typical period dates and it's probably not worth the risk. Does anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions on this? ## Unfortunately, there really isn't anything you can take that will guarantee that you completely skip this month. If you'd seen a doctor ahead of time, you could probably have tried an oral contraceptive, so you could use it to skip your menstrual cycle, while o...

why is cabbage and cauliflower to be avoided, are all green vegetable to be avoided. ## I have been on warfarin for 10 years. no need to AVOID greens - just eat the same amount, no more, no less, and your doc will adjust the dosage for your eating habits. BUT learn the things that throw your INR off, like alcohol (thins your blood) and greens,(thickens) so you can regulate your intakes. ## Steve is correct, and to be more specific, regarding the greens, it's anything with high amounts of vitamin K, such as spinach, since it is known to affect the thickness of your blood, and may throw off the efficacy of the medication. However, the caveat is that some doctors don't want to adjust according to your diet, and in most cases, they will just tell you not to eat those foods. So, it i...

When I first started self injecting Entyvio, I believe it went into the muscle. The instructions say nothing about bringing up the skin to make sure of a subcutaneous injection. So, I have started pinching the skin to get that result. I was wondering why this isn't in the instructions. thank you ## You’re right that the official instructions for Entyvio self-injection don’t mention pinching the skin, even though that’s a common technique used in subcutaneous injections to help ensure the medication goes into the fatty tissue and not deeper. The likely reason this step isn’t included is because the instructions are designed to be as simple and standardized as possible, so they can work across a wide range of body types and experience levels. My same problem highlighted on declofenac forum. some seem to suffer stomach upsets from Ameprazole. the very symptom I'm using it to avoid. My neurosurgeon told me to avoid NSAIDS or anything that will thin my blood because I am scheduled for surgery in 6 days. I am in excruciating pain because I had to stop taking Voltaren. I have a topical solution that has Ketopro 10%, cyclobenzaprine 1% and lidocaine 5%. I can't get in touch with the mail order pharmacy. Does anyone know, if any of those will cause blood thinning? Thank you! ## Yes, the Ketopro stands for Ketoprofen, which is an NSAID, so it should be avoided, before surgery, according to your doctor's instructions.
