How long does Neurontin remain active in your body before being excreted? ## Hello, Kevin! How are you? The FDA classifies this medication as an anticonvulsant, which is also used to treat certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain and dry mouth. It's half-life is approximately 5 to 7 hours and it takes 5 to 6 half-lives to be fully processed from your body, so it would be fully excreted in approximately 30 to 42 hours. Is there anything else I can help with?

How long does it take for this Mopic to work? My doctor prescribed Mopic 15 mg once per day for arthritis So far, I only took second pill today. I had pain in my knee cap and my hands. Now the pain is gone but I went outside today for a little bit and now I have a pain in left leg toward the part where the leg meet the ankle. Does the pain move to a different of the body? I need to get back to work as soon as I can. I live here in Southern California so the weather is not too bad. ## Hello, May! How are you? While this medication can relieve pain, you can still experience breakthrough pain, so the pain doesn't move, this medication just doesn't prevent it all. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and...

Hi there. I have been on oralcon for a few months, perhaps a little bit longer than a year. Things have gotten so hectic lately that i forgot to take some pills. I completely lost track of what pill I was on in the pack. I then decided to wait it out, get my period and then start taking them again and start "fresh" and keep proper track. My cycles were always spot on and never longer for 3 days and 28 days in-between periods. I am however a week late. Stressing out here. What can this mean? No signs of it coming soon either? ## Hello Irene, First I'll answer your question, according to the FDA and NIH Oralcon has a half life cycle of approximately 36 hours and it is generally accepted that it takes between 4 and 6 cycles to completely leave your system. This means that the O...

I have been taking 15mg Mirtrazapine for only one week. First night I slept for about 12 hours and was spaced out for the rest of the day. Took them again the following evening and woke up feeling like it was the end of the world, horrible. After a week of feeling like a zombie and feeling disconnected from everything, including my feelings, I have decided to stop them but still have a horrible feeling of being disconnected and feel like all my muscles in my body have gone weak. Anybody know how long it takes for this drug to get out of your system? getting worried about the disconnected feeling. Thanks ## You weren't taking a very high dose, nor were you taking it for a long time, so it shouldn't take more than a week or so. As reported by the FDA, you may also experience nause...

On Oxaliplatin for four cycles still have the cold reactions and was wanting to find out how long it stays in your body? ## How long does it take to get Oxaliplatin and xeloda out of your system? ## Oxaliplatin has a short elimination half-life of about 10-25 minutes. Many pharmacists consider most or all of the drug to be out your system in the period of about 5 half-lives. In relation to this drug, that would mean Oxaliplatin takes roughly 2 hours to leave your system. Xeloda (Capecitabine) is largely eliminated as metabolites (> 95% of the dose). The terminal half-life of the parent drug and its metabolites is short (less than 1 hour), and excretion proceeds via the urine. Essentially this would mean that Xeloda should be out of your system for the most part within a 4-5 hour tim...

She doesn't think it's from the water pills or any of the other things she drinks everyday. Could someone Please help me, to Help Her. Thank you ## Hello, Christine! How is your friend doing? Oh yes, that is exactly what the water pill does, it forces fluid out of the body by increasing urinary output. Plus, the caffeine in the coffee does the same thing, so she's essentially taking in 2 diuretics. Is there anything else I can help with?

I want to have a few drinks this weekend and I was wondering how many days I should be off. ## Hello, Viiby! How are you? It would really be best to stay on your medication and forgo the alcohol. It tends to exacerbate the side effects, so it could make you more dizzy, drowsy and nauseous than usual. Even if you stop taking it, you're likely going to experience some withdrawal effects, which will probably also be worsened by the alcohol. If your doctor approves of your imbibing, then please make sure that you aren't driving. Viibryd has a half-life of 24 to 25 hours and it takes 5 to 6 half-lives to be fully processed out of your body, so you'd be looking at needing a break of at least 5 to 6 days, but as I said, that doesn't do away with the possible withdrawal effects....

I took a hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg at 9:00 pm last night. How long would it still be in my body for? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? The FDA lists it as having a half-life of about 3.8 hours, it takes 5 to 6 half-lives for full elimination, so that would be about 19 to 22.8 hours. The medication is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Good morning. How long does it take for angeliq to be out of your system after you have stopped using it. I must go for a mammogram and draw blood to check my hormone level. At this stage I have a lump in my breast. My breast was very sensitive and sore. after that my breast became red and warm. Then I stopped angeliq. Now it's fine except the lump in my breast. I want to go to the Dr for them to draw blood and he must refer me for a mammogram. ## The half-life for Angeliq, which is the amount of time it takes to reach 50% of it's initial level in your body, is 36 to 42 hours, and it takes 5 to 6 half-lives to be fully cleared from your system, which would be 180 to 252 hours, so the maximum time would be 10.5 days. The FDA warns that stopping it abruptly may result in your expe...

I am prescribed it for sleep and racing obsessive thoughts started 25 going to 50 should it help me ## Hi, Theresa! How are you? How long have you been taking it? It usually takes medications like this about 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full level of effectiveness in your body. That's usually about the same time you notice any side effects you're experiencing reach their peak in intensity and then start to taper off in severity. Learn more Seroquel details here. However, the only way to know if it will help you is by trying it for that time period to find out. I'm surprised that a medical professional would prescribe something that contained diazepam for dietary purposes. According to the FDA and NIH valium has an initial half-life of 3 hours. It is generally accepted that it takes between 4 and 6 half life cycles for a drug to completely leave your body, doing the simple math this means that it could take between 12 and 18 hours for the initial dosage to leave your body. I currently take 5 mg of norethindrone for ten days before my period. This is my fourth month taking it. Although I have seen some difference in my period I haven't had the result I was hoping for. I was put on this for heavy periods. Does this medicine sometimes take longer to see a result in some people or am I just unlucky. ## Hi Lana, Usually it takes a few months for any birth control to work full force. You have been taking it for 4 months which is quite a while, so you should be seeing results by now. Everyone's body is different though so it could just be taking longer for you. If you want, you can give it another month or two, but if nothing changes I'd speak with your gynecologist about trying something different. I hope this advice helps!
