CAN YOU TAKE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS AND BETA BLOCKERS WITH FERTEMINA ## Hello, Lee! How are you? No, it is not advisable to take Phentermine if you have high blood pressure or a cardiac condition. The FDA classifies it as a stimulant, so along with being habit forming, it can cause elevated heart rate and elevated blood pressure as side effects. If you wish to use a medication for weight loss, then it would be best to speak with your doctor to see which one you can safely take. Is there anything else I can help with?

Alfenta Alfentanil

Alfentanil (R-39209, trade name Alfenta, Rapifen in Australia) is a potent but short-acting synthetic opioid analgesic drug, used for anaesthesia in surgery. It is an analogue of fentanyl with around one-fourth to one-tenth the potency, one-third the duration of action, and an onset of action four times faster than that of fentanyl.[2] Alfentanil has a pKa of approximately 6.5, which leads to a very high proportion of the drug being uncharged at physiologic pH, a characteristi...

if you take a 25 mg Fentanyl Patch and it is not that strong of a prescription for you, can you take additonal painkillers like vicodin as needed? Like taking a few vicodin every few hours during the day while on the patch. ## Please DON'T first stop the Fentanyl It's a nightmare!!!! You are on a path you don't want to travel. Find another way, PLEASE for your own sake!!! ## Fentanyl is 80times stronger than Morphine, therefore, I guarantee it is STRONG for you! Mixing it with other narcotics would be extremely dangerous, it is highly addictive and you run the risk of overdose, with possible fatal consequences. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can read more about this medication here: This is one of the MOST PO...

Can I take 40mg belsomra with 150mcg fentanyl transdermal patch? And with that pain med I also take 8mg hydromorphone two times daily....I've suffered from insomnia forever since my mid twenties and just dealt with it until my mid thirties...I'm on klonopin but since I'm very ill and bc of being on 80mg oxycontin from only being on 10 mg vicodin I blame pharma company's for aiding in having a high tolerance and being medically addicted. I have lupus and lupus blood clotting disease (world's biggest blood clot survivor), interstitial cystitis, ulcerative colitis with throat to rectum yeast infection, regurgitating, stage 3 kidney failure, rheumatoid arthritis, & also took out my large colon - all of it with no bag :). Need list of medication for high cholesterol ## Are there non statin Meds for high cholesterol ? ## Yes, there are a couple of non-statin options, including Fenofibrate and Gemfibrozil. Unfortunately, they typically cause the same side effects, as reported by the FDA, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. However, it is worth trying one, if you aren't tolerant of statins. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My triglyceride level is 308 HDL is 38 HDL is 73.40 VLDL is 61.61 Which medicine should I take for treatment, which causes little to no side effects?

For various reasons I suffer from Spinal Stenosis, Herniated Disc in Cervical area of spine, also suffered a broken tailbone. I suffer from terrible nerve pain in my pelvic area, neck, down my legs and spine. My dr. has recently put me on 50mg fentayl patch. I also take Gabapintin. These still are only controling about 59% of my pain and if I do something to aggravate my injuries I sometimes get screaming pain. A friend recommended Methadone in conjunction with what I'm taking. I have taken Oxycontin, Oxycodone in high doses so my tolerance is very high. Can anyone tell me if adding Methodone to my other meds would help and if it could be risky--as far as overdosing etc..? ## I doubt that Methadone will help you, since the Fentanyl that you are already using is far stronger than Met...

I recently had to change pain drs b/c mine closed his practice. I have been fighting w/my WC company to detox from the pain meds I take for the last 5 years b/c I'm having a lot of detrimental secondary side effects. The new doc's PA is having me come off of the Topiramate (1200 mg daily) to 400mg daily in one month. This seems a little crazy fast to me. When I requested to go slower, she accused me of being argumentative =/ Has anyone else had this kind of experience? I also am on Methadone 40 mg, down from 60 & Fentanyl patch, 50 mpg, down from 100. Any feedback would be welcome! ## Hello, Syd! How are you doing? There is a risk of seizures, if you cut down on the Topiramate too fast, so you are right to want to be cautious. Have you tried speaking to the doctor, rather th...

My ex-husband has had 5 lower back surgeries and has permanent nerve damage. He also has rods and pins in his back that one screw pushed on his spinal cord and had to be removed-lots of scar tissue. He's having a neurologist for many years. My ex has been on fentanyl 100 patch putting a new patch every 48 hours and oxycotin 5 was 6 times a day now he has been cut to 4 a day. His doctor won't give him any higher dosage and in extreme debilitating pain. He was in pain management years ago, but the doctor changed his percocet he took then and put him on morphine. He took to many for the week he was on it. It wasn't working and let pain management doctor know it and was thrown out of pain management. He of course is addicted. His meds of course aren't working very well any m...

If you are on fenofibrate, do you have to be on it all your life? ## Not necessarily! Some people do manage to lower their cholesterol levels successfully and keep them low, via healthy diet and exercise, so they are then able to stop such medications. It can vary from person to person and may include such factors as how high their cholesterol has gone. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for the info. My Doctor told me that I would have to be on it for life even if my levels dropped.

I was on 180 mg of ms contin after tapering down from 300mg for 16 yrs. I wanted to try fentanyl patches so my Dr gave me 75 mcg patch. Wow I had absolutely no pain .....but after 55-60 hrs I would wake up sweats flip popping all over totally withdrawals then I talked to a friend, she's on 50 mcg. I'm back to ms contin 120 mg ready to taper to 90 mg but it doesn't help the pain. So the pharmacist said since I also felt anxiety, depression the two weeks I tried the patch he said that maybe it was too high of a dose. Anyway my friend said she's on 50 mcg which is what I would go on and she had same thing for about 3 weeks. My ins will pay for 15 patches for 30 days so why can't I just change them every 2 1/2 days so that doesn't happen or will my percocet 10's ...

I keep reading that fentanyl is 80% stronger then morphine. However, most people are talking 100 mcg fentanyl patch over 72 hours, so now I wonder what this means? How much morphine totals fentanyl in 3 days? Confusing eh, anybody know?? I am on the 100 mcg patch every 3 days and have 4 mgs hydromorphone every day for back up pain. I don’t like the hydromorphone, I believe it’s making me constipated and I have to take meds for constipation now. I've been on this for over a year. I have stage 4 rectal cancer. I like the fentanyl and it works, but it’s weak when spread out over 3 days. I'm thinking of asking my doctor to let me take one type of opioid instead of two high doses. I’ll leave it up to the doctor but I’ll suggest maybe giving me 75 mcg eve...

Will a 75 mcg/hr fentanyl patch help with dilaudid withdrawal? ## Tramadol 50 mg x 2 tablets is the only thing that works for me when I can't find a pharmacy to fill my Dilaudid. I have heard it helps with Oxy and other pain reliever withdrawals. The stupid Commonwealth of Kentucky has outlawed Tramadol and Lyrica is highly regulated because it helps with withdrawals. Yes, they are living in the stone age. So, Tramadol must work for others as well. Your doctor should prescribe it, it is available at any pharmacy, doesn't help that much with the pain, but you won't get sick. ## Fentanyl is much stronger, so that would actually be the wrong direction to go. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, diz...

I've just started Bystolic -I take Fenofibrate, Lisinopril and Amlodipine but my BP was (and remains) at 160/74. This has been true for several years. I'm an exerciser and within an hour after exercise my bp is 130/60. My at rest pulse is 55. Since I've been on Bystolic (2 days) my pulse is lower but my bp hasn't moved. I'm a bit slower in my exercise regimine - from 13.5 min./mile to 15 min./mile - I'm 72 ## It sounds to me like you're doing great as far as exercise goes. My only suggestion would be to turn most of your attention to what you're eating on a regular basis, as I believe this has a significant impact on your BP levels overall. I used to have high BP for years in the range of 150/90, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits ...
