Neurologist finally said it neuropathy resulting in a drop foot. Drop foot not curable. Will need to wear splint.. Will Mentanx help me get a normal gait to my left foot? ## Hello, Annie Fanny! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. The FDA classifies Metanx as a medical food, it is contains a variety of nutrients, such as B vitamins, that are believed to help with nerve health and function. Since it is a supplement, the only reported side effect is nausea, in some people. As to whether or not it will help, there is really no way to say, the only thing you can do is try it and see. Has your doctor offere...

Now i am having foot drop condition i am able to move my leg fingers little bit.. Is maxgalin is proper drug to treat foot drop condition. plz send u r valuable Suggestions ## @Vijay, Sorry to hear about what had happened to your legs during that accident. I really hope you manage to make a full recovery. From what I could gather, Maxgalin (Pregabalin) is commonly used for treating the pain associated with nerve damage. So it sounds to me like the doctor gave you the right type of medication for your condition. But none-the-less these kinds of injuries can often take a long time to heal, depending on the severity of it. Yo...

Xanax is a life saver! I've always had social anxiety and trouble speaking in groups of people, now i have no problem! Xanax makes me feel very calm and I'm able to enjoy the moments that used to make me feel unconformable.............I't also helps with depression, withdrawals from pain killers, helps with sleep! The best sleep you can ever have (close to taking NyQuil). I take 1 mg 3 times daily..... ## Xanax IS a life saver, and can also drop you dead right where you stand. Funny little drug ## Hello, Pacsun93! I'm very glad that it's helping you so much. However, it can also be dangerous, just like Eddy has pointed out, though it's usually not that extreme. But it can be habit forming and once you've been taking it for awhile, it isn't safe to stop ab...

I got hit on the bridge of my nose with a football on 29 Aug. After 4 days I started experiencing discomfort and redness in my right eye and was prescribed the above eye drops. I've been told to use it 6 times a day for three days and to continue reducing the number of times by one every three days. Is it safe to use as I still feel uncomfortable. I also see white flashes occasionally especially when I look down with my eyes. I'm worried. Please advise if there's a problem with my retina or cornea and what should I do.

I had a very unique type of injury happened to mewhen I was in a salon chair and I used the foot stare up as usual to get up as I felt the force and momentum of the chair falling with me towards me on me. I had no choice but to save my face and throw my right forearm and hand up onto the ledge of the station. At the time of the negligence the injury appeared to be located mostly in my neck upper back torn ACL and sprained ankle. Well it turned out that I also had cervical radiculopathy that is adult sharp constant pain. so very unfortunately and traumatising was the death of my daughter six months ago.each individual injury worked into its own monster and then seemed to all come together into a very permanent nerve damage in way also causing poly neuropathy where I had sustained 025 ref...

what is this and is it good for my foot I dropped a hurricane window on it and I have a bruised bone? ## This is something specially ordered by a doctor and compounded by a pharmacy that is intended to be used topically to treat pain or skin conditions. Flurbiprofen and Diclofenac are both nonsteroidal anti-ifnlammatories, Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant, Lidocaine is a topical anesthetic, Betamethasone is a steroid. However, I am not totally sure what the pentox and bupiv are, but your pharmacist should be able to tell you. Since it's used topically side effects are usually minimal and just include some skin irritation. Does anyone else recognize those 2 ingredients?

I've been taking Metanx for 6 months due to diabetic nephropathy and foot drop in my left foot. After the first few months I thought there was minimal improvement in frequency and severity of the pain. But now, after 6 months, it seems like the pain is as frequent and severe as when I started. I just picked up a refill and found that the price (not covered by my insurance) has almost doubled in the past 6 months. So, for $75 a month and little or no improvement, I'm done with Metanx. Incidentally, if you research this product carefully you will find that even though it is only available by prescription, it is classified as a medical food and not reviewed or approved by the FDA for efficacy or safety. ## Hi Lewie, Metanx does have published studies that show it repairs damaged ne...

I would like to comment on Metanex... for me it was a miracle drug.... I have type II diabetes and had "drop foot" .. and had to buy a brace for my right foot because when I walked I "slapped" down my right foot.... a Dr. recommended Metanx and after 1 week of taking the drug, I haven't had to use the brace once.... my only problem is that a generic is no longer available and the Metanx costs $90.00 for a 30 day supply... I can't afford to take it at that cost... how can I get a discount? ## Hi Mildred, I work with Metanx and am very pleased to read how well you are doing on Metanx and I have some good news for you, If you are interested on how to save on your Metanx prescription, contact Brand Direct Health at 1-866-331-6440. I'm helping my son find a chronic pain doctor, he had a crush injury to his lower leg & has drop foot from the fasciotomy. He has terrible itching, burning and neuropathy pain. It would be so much easier for him to go to a Methadone Clinic where few question's are asked than be seen at a Pain Clinic where we are treated like scum of the earth. Only pride keeps him from doing this. I don't get it. ## Hello, Rhett! How is your son doing? Does he currently have a PCP that he sees regularly? If so, having them refer him to someone would likely be the easiest way for him to get the help he needs. Does anyone know of a good doctor in AR? Has he tried any of the medications for neuropathic pain? His regular doctor can prescribe those. ## It is best that he doesn't go to a M...

It worked for me initially for about 2 months, but experienced a sharp decline in my walking. Now my walking is wobbly with foot drop. Tripped a few times and fell. I've stopped taking it for the last 3 days and my whole body is drained and have no energy. Will it get better over time? I don't mind if it takes a longer time to recover as long as it does. I'm not expecting a 100% to pre-Fampyra state.

I have chronic back pain. My lower back has a compression fracture on my lumbar spine. I also have fractured vertebrae along my lumbar. I have neuropathy and a left foot drop due to my injury which happened in 2009. ## Hello, Alyse! How are you feeling? I am very sorry that you're in so much pain. However, this website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications or products. It is an information only resource. Are you currently on Fentanyl? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What has your doctor advised?

Took Phenchrom with St. John's wart given my doc to drop weight. I ws on it for 6 weeks. Dropped 20 pounds, but began having burning tongue, lip nose and chin tingling. Like a tooth ache. After going off it went away. I tested small amount later and immediately the tonge and mouth discomfort came back. Be careful! Also foot pain after cleaning like a mad woman. foot doc said over use Morton's neuroma. Still bothers me. Could this pill make nerves more sensitive? ## You might want to check out this website: mortonsneuroma.com. Great resource on Morton's ## Hello, According to the NIH there is no listed side effect of increased nerve sensitivity, however, it does say that the Phenchrom will cause you to have a flushing and tingling sensation (not a burning sensation). I hurt my right foot over 2 weeks ago and my toes and foot turned black and blue. It was someone stepping on my instep. Last week I banged my left foot and that also turned black and blue. Is this from eliquis? ## Hello, Carol! How are you doing? Yes, the FDA does list easy bruising as being a very common side effects of this medication, along with nausea, dizziness, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No that's what I needed to know. Foot looks pretty bad from just a small bump. Imagine if I had dropped a frozen oven stuffer roaster on my foot like a friend of mine did a while back. Cant imagine. ## I am on Eliquis and my arms are purple from brushing. Every time I hit myself I bruise. Is there any cream that I can put on the bruises?

Hey, I was wondering if you could help. I was hit by a car my junior year of college as well as involved in a motorcycle accident my senior year. I had a full cadivor ACL replacement also during that surgery they tried to repair my lateral meniscus which was also torn during the accident as well. Unfortuanetly during the follow year at the beginning of football camp I was dropping back in coverage and tore my lateral meniscus again. I ended up playing the whole year on a torn knee and got it removed at the end of the season. I sell cars for a living and I am on my feet all day long along with being physically active, working out, snowboarding etc... I had a previous doctor in which I was perscribe 15mg oxycodone; however, something happen I guess and the guy just disapeared off the face...

I have been on suboxone for 7 years. Tapered down to one strip a day from 3 by myself. I haven't taken any illegal, illicit drugs in 7 years this past May 17th. Worked my ass off to get where I am now. I'm a single father of 2 sons. Custody of my kids. Was friends with my neighbor. 2 days ago saw my neighbor buying suboxone from my ex of all people. Well when I took my son to football last night I dropped my wallet outside my house, ran back home as soon as I noticed and what a surprise. The ONLY thing that was missing was every single suboxone strip I had. I always kept em in my wallet, this medicine saved my life. I went from a needle in my arm to a normal dad. I work now. I do all I can for my family and community. Well when I noticed them gone I knew exactly who took em so I...
