I purchased Griseofulvin Tablets 250 Mg. Package came with Grisonex /Griseoflvin. It is an oblong pill scored down the middle and 250 on the other side. Is this a real pill or counterfit? Thank you ## Hi Jeannie, From what I could gather, images depicting a legitimate version of this white oblong shaped pill, are supposed to have the word "GRIS-PEG" on one side; and on the other should be a score line with the number "250" sitting on the right half of it... much like this for example: (__|250). So depending on how you went about getting these pills, whether it was from a licensed pharmacy in the US or ordered off the internet, that would probably be a good indicator of their legitimacy. I know most steroids are sold illegally online and the websites that carry them therefore do not guarantee their legitimacy, efficacy, or safety. They probably figure that it's cheaper for them to market fake pills knowing that many people out there will eventually purchase them just to take a shot in the dark regardless of whether or not its real. And that's unfortunately the nature of the situation when you take anything that's been banned or heavily controlled like steroids. This is a 500mg Tylenol pill. People are scratching the rest of an M to make it appear as Hyrocodone. Looks Like M 484. Just Be Aware ## @PDR 500, Thanks for the heads up. However, any legitimate patient shouldn't have to worry about this at all. Anyone can avoid such discrepancies by simply obtaining their Rx medication from a licensed pharmacy and not trying to "beat around the bush", if you will. Counterfeits are becoming much more prevalent throughout the world, as money hungry crooks try to cash in on needy pain patients. The best way to protect yourself is to remain legitimate and follow the rules, despite how restrictive they may be.

A friend of mine received some white watson853's I took 3 and felt nothing. And I live in a very small town in thevery middle of the US . I guess what I'm saying is they got here in new the Boones fast! ## Unfortunately fake pills are continuously being dispersed all across the country and the scary part is that they're pressed to look identical to their real counterparts; potentially containing anything from poisonous substances and illicit drugs to other harmful inactive ingredients. Mexico pharmacies are faking a NUMBER of pills. A HUGE AMOUNT OF THEM are taking bottles of other medications and putting fake stickers on the bottles and selling them as other medications. For example, they take stickers of bottles of flexeril/Cyclobenzaprine and sell them as ambien! I brought a bottle back and had them tested by labs. They tested for what I thought! Cyclobenzaprine! They tried to sell me codeine, which was in fact tramadol! They also tried selling fake lortab, vicoden, etc. I didn't see those pills as I did not need them, but the stickers looked the same. Trying to find an over the counter pill that looks like a pink oxycodone. I suspect that my roommate might be taking some of my prescription so I am hoping to use an OTC medication as a diversion which would not cause them harm. ## Well, what are the specific markings on your prescription pills? The thing is that you probably won't find any over the counter products to match the look of your rx since they are required to carry unique inscriptions per the FDA. With that said, and I'm not advocating this behavior, your best option might be to press fake sugar pills which will basically do nothing for them but look like your original prescription. But of course this is not nearly as good of an option as confronting them, or even filing a police report if it becomes too out of hand....

So confused.. There are some of these that are really crumbly and look a lot darker than the ones I originally saw. They taste a lot grosser and are unpleasant.. I purchased tramadol in a border town in Mexico this past summer. "ANDROMEX laboratories ANDROMEX S.A.DE C.V. Carretra a techuacan #3942 Puebla Pue" is on the bottle along with directions in Spanish. I purchased 2 bottles for $30 (120ct 100mg) OTC in Mexico. They were not sealed or had a protective lining to prove un-opened. However it did come with a child resistant top and a strong one. The pills are real. I saved nearly $900 as I don't have insurance. Just because it is Mexico it does not mean it's no good or contaiminated. If anything, it is better than here in the States. There is nothing for them to gain or a need for them to supply counterfeit. Only illegal low-level dealers do that. Warning, there are fake oxycodone 30mg going around. People are selling these on the street as a Roxy 30mg. They are completely fake. These are all around Florida, Georgia, South Carolina. how can you check to see if the pills are real or fake(besides looking at them) ## ## If they are the name brand, from the U.S., then twe's post should be helpful. There are, however, also many generics on the market and many available from foreign countries, as well. The legal, U.S. generics are required by law to have some type of imprint on the tablet, to enable their identification. If the tablets you are questioning are from the U.S. and have an imprint, then if you post back with it, I can easily look it up for you to see if it contains Alprazolam. I am currently prescribed MS Contin for pain and while effective I sometimes feel like some of the pills are fake. I get no relief and feel withdrawal symptoms even. I received pills packaged as "teva pharmaceuticals usa ndc 0093-0033-01 extended release 80mg". They look like the real thing kinda at least for the packaging. The pills have an X scoring on one side and no product identifier. I called Teva and they are puzzled since their product was discontinued in 2008. Yellow, peach, and white ones....best way to find out is when u put them in a clear glass of water they dissolve real easily and into bits and pieces ## Not all fakes are created equally, and therefore the dissolution of a pill in a glass of water may only hold true for certain batches coming from a specific region. The fake a 215 oxycodone are darker blue and has water looking specks on them; more rough than smooth. The fake dissolve like cotton candy on your tongue vs the real ones that you have to suck on for a while to dissolve. The real ones have the original nasty pill taste. Someone told me my wife's subutex were fake because they saw a half of a tablet and it only had the 54 half showing. I found it hard to believe because they came from the pharmacy and all the rest look fine. Actually other than it being cut in half it looks fine as well. It has the same color shape and imprint other than the 411 side being cut off.
