I am 64 year old RN, who until 10/28/15, was working full time with only mild HTN. Started having severe sternum pain at work, drove self to ER and ended up having emergency surgery for a thoracic aneurysm. After lying on my back for over 12 hours, all of lower lumbar discs were bulging and the back pain was the worse I have ever experienced. After 5 days in icu, 2 episodes of A-FIB, was D/C home and advised to see a back doctor recommended by the hospital doctor. I was home, unable to lay, sit, stand, a barely walk.... Got in and he recommended 3 steroid epidural shots, Couldn't do the first until I had been off the baby Aspirin for a week. I have been on every statin invented, including fibrates etc!. All have caused severe muscle pain, nausea, loss of energy, actually, i could go on forever regarding side effects. Doctors opinion is usually that you are overreacting/imagining the severity of side effects, most doctors won't even admit that statins are the culprits ! I have read many reports into the benefits/dangers of taking statins and I'm beginning to veer towards the opinion that the benefits don't outweigh the risks! By the way, i cannot tolerate medications for high blood pressure either.I would like to say that I am a very active person and, i have also lost weight through exercise and diet. My Dr. prescribed 1.62% pump after I complained about excessive tiredness. Test results showed my T level to be 1/2 the recommended minimum. After using three pumps I suddenly regained energy and was no longer sleeping 10 or more hours at night and 3 - 4 hours in the afternoon. However, my latest refill changed instructions. I had been applying the gel to my belly but now the instructions say to only apply to shoulders and upper arms. I have done this for a week and my lack of energy and long periods of sleep have returned. Should I ignore the new instructions and apply to my belly as that worked best for me? Why did they change the instructions? I am 73. I noticed there was no increase in libido although that was not why it was prescribed.

I had a gum OP mid-November 2013 and was given Clindamycin 300mg for 5 days and anti-inflammatory tablets. My tongue turned black but no more symptoms. 16.12. 13 I had the next gum OP and was given the same medication. I too have increased energy and cheerfulness with a single 50 mg Tramadol. When I don't take it for a day I am very lethargic and ache. I try not to take it more than a few days in a row. The doctor is surprised at the side effects. Thank you to those who shared a similar experience. I had been wondering if this was my imagination. VRAYLAR, My doctor has prescribed this medication to me yesterday the starting dose is 1.5mg. I know nothing about it. In my original country I took a medication name NULIP prescription for treatment of Obesity. My Neurologist gave me Amantadine for Fibfromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, he said this would give me energy, but I am sleeping 16 hours a day. Is this normal? Can I take an over the counter energy pill to help me give me the energy I need? I'm 43 year old Australian with borderline low testosterone levels who's been suffering from 'feeling like an old man' for the past 2 years. The pill is round, yellow and has L114 on one side. I was told it was like caffeine and used for energy or like a cup of coffee. ## This pill is Caffeine, 200 mg. Higher doses (150-200 mg or more) of caffeine can cause anxiety, dizziness, headaches, and the jitters. Caffeine can also interfere with normal sleep.

Could these capsules help with my energy levels? I'm hoping so because I have a caffeine sensitivity. ## It is a multivitamin and mineral supplement, so it might help with energy, I know if I take mine too late in the day, I can't sleep, so I have to be careful. Many of the B vitamins are very well known to help with energy levels. The FDA warns that it may cause nausea, in some people that take it, due to its potency. I'm on lortab for extreme pain. There not working as long as they use to. I also want a pain medicine that will give me energy. I don't just want to lay around doing nothing.
