I had a cardiac Cath and the summary says LM minimal luminary irregularities LED minimal luminal irregularities lcx minimal luminar irregularities RCA minimum irregularities and LV mild Global hypokinesis EF 50% elevated lvedp what does this mean ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? Did your doctor not explain anything? To keep it simple, luminal irregularities refers to changes due to atherosclerotic plaque, the word minimal refers to how much there is, in this case, they didn't see a significant amount, but there is some, so lifestyle and dietary changes may be needed to prevent future worsening. The LV mild Global hypokinesis EF 50% elevated lvedp refers to the injection fraction of your left ventricle. Generally a rate of 50% or lower means that your heart pumping as good as it should...
I am a light asthamtic patient (no attacks and I am using Symbicort at times) and I have been prescribed Reparil-Dragees recently (few days back) and I noticed high BP (96/165) at morning times. In addition to Reapril I am using Lyrica (Pregabalin) 150 mg on constant basis twice a day with Cataflam 50 mg almost twice a day as well. I used to have sometimes high BP with tension but I never exceeded 100 (as lower level) and few days later it goes back to 140/85. i'm 42 yrs old female nd hav been taking metzok 50 for the past 3 yrs ..my bp is now normal nd so can i stop the medicine......does taking metzok 50 cause joint pain ## I am 62, female diabetic taking Metzok 50 since last three years along with losar 50. My BP is almost normal. Can I stop losar 50 and continue only Metzok 50? ## Both of you should consult your respective doctors. The issue here is that the medication may be only maintaining your blood pressure at a normal level and, without treatment, it may start to elevate again, which may be dangerous. In addition, an abrupt cessation of this medication could cause rebound effects, which may result in severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate, which could cause heart attack or stroke. What have your doctors advised?
What Is The Side Effects Of This Medication & Can I Take In Place Of Casodex ## Hello Dave Hughes, Some side effects of Casodex may include but are not limited to the following: reproductive system and breast disorders, breast tenderness, gynaecomastia, hot flushes, gastrointestinal disorders, diarrhoea, nausea, hepatic changes (elevated levels of transaminases, jaundice), asthenia and pruritus. To answer your next question; if you're talking about Bicalutamide, the active ingredient in Casodex, then yes you could take it instead if you want. However, it would most likely be the generic version. I can't remember if I told you this in my last reply, but the FDA permits generic formulas to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredients. This factor, along with...
have taken 2 pills...is this amount so insignificient that I can simply stop taking further pills? ## What has your doctor advised? Are you on other medications? That isn't many pills and, in theory, there shouldn't be a problem stopping, after just taking a few, but there is really no way of knowing the effect it will have on any particular person, so you should only do so under medical supervision. I took Metoprolol for over a month and was able to stop, but it was because I was switched to a different, but similar medication to keep the rebound effects under control, though there were still some slight elevations to my heart rate and blood pressure. ## Doctor, I had little blurred vision n doctor admitted 5 days with steroids n prescribed m 30 mg wysoline(20mg-10mg-0), after ...

I have been on it for 2 months and the side effects have been awful. I couldn't stand it any more. I stopped taking it last Wednesday. It's been 5 days. I now have swollen ankles. Is this something to worry about? What is the risk of stopping and how long does it take to get it out of your system? ## Hello, Lindyann! How are you? Yes, you shouldn't have stopped it abruptly, because that can cause a rebound effect, such as what you're experiencing with the edema. You may also have dangerously elevated blood pressure. Please consult your doctor as soon as possible to have things checked out for your own safety. You may require medical treatment and will need to try a different blood pressure medication. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## hello..ive been taking l...

Galvus Met 50/500, I am taking before breakfast as prescribed by a physician since one year but One cardiologist suggests to have it after breakfast. My questions is when it should be taken before breakfast or after breakfast ? ## Normally, these types of medications are taken just before a meal, that way they have a chance to start working by the time you are actually digesting the meal and you would experience the greatest blood sugar elevations. What instructions has the prescribing doctor given you? If they are the one treating your diabetes, then they are the one's whose instructions you should follow.

I think that I missed my dose today at 1:30, but I'm not sure? Will I be ok to wait until tomorrow to take it? Also should I wait the entire 24 hours or just take it in the morning? ## Hello, Chad! How are you? What did you end up doing? It is always best to check with your doctor regarding what you should do in such a situation, however, in some instances, it is safer to take an extra dose, rather than risk skipping one. Since missing a dose could cause dangerous rebound elevations to your heart rate and blood pressure, which could lead to heat attack, or stroke, according to the AMA. However, doubling up just once, usually only results in your experiencing more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination, as listed by the FDA. Now, of course, there a...
I am 53. BP normal with medicine. My weight is 52 kg. Ht 164 cms. Taking Metolar AM 50 for last 8 yrs. Can I continue it for life long. What precaution should I take to minimise the side effects. Pl adv. ## There is really nothing you can do, if side effects, or long-term usage effects are going to happen, they are going to happen, no matter what you try. However, it is far more dangerous to let your blood pressure raise out of control, than it is to take the medication, since severely elevated blood pressure could cause heart attack, stroke, or congestive heart failure. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. You should take it, as long as your doctor instructs you to do so. Are you on any othe...

How are you doing? It is normal to experience side effects, when you first start taking a medication, because your body needs to get used to it. They will usually wear off after about 4 weeks or so, once your body adjusts. This is working to lower you blood sugar, which means that it must have been high and it's actually elevated sugar levels that cause the thirst, hunger and increased...
I have been taking ic tranzodone 50 mg to help me sleep for about 2 years. Can it become habit forming? ## No, it is not habit forming. It is NOT a controlled substance. Often it is used off-label as a sleep aid when doctors, for some reason or another dont want to prescribe a controlled substance. It is not a sleep medication. It is a mood elevator. Good Luck. ## Trazodone is an SARI class antidepressant, that as was stated, is also sometimes used to treat insomnia. And it is not habit forming in the concept that it is addictive, however, your body does get dependent on any substance that you ingest regularly, from your morning coffee to a medication and, if you stop taking it suddenly, you can experience some withdrawal effects, because your body does have to readjust to not having it,...
