I am looking for a doctor to perscribe a compounding safer persciption for someone with schizophrenia, The medicines have very bad side affects, Thank you, In ohio or near ## Hello, Mari! How are you? Any doctor can write such a prescription, there are no special ones that it's restricted to, so it could be written by their current treating physician. There are just only certain pharmacies that specialize in compounding such medications. However, even compounding medications isn't going to do away with the risk of side effects. What types of problems is the patient experiencing?

I am being prescribed compounded hydrocodone 20mg, the pharmacy I have been using went way up on price, 2 times. Where in Houston can I get this prescription filled at a reasonable price? ## Hello, TC! How are you? The best idea I have for you is to call your nearby large hospitals and ask them for the names of local compounding pharmacies. You can then get in touch with those pharmacies for more information. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Hello. I'm from Australia and had been sorry to learn that Butesin Picrate cream was removed from commercial sale. My daughter (a registered pharmacist with Pharmaceutical Compounding exp.) recently suffered burns while she was home cooking: I said my "often quoted regret" about the cream's discontinuation. We have - between us - located the original (1%) pharmaceutical compounding instructions for it and provided it's not large scale manufacture I can arrange to put you in touch with the compounding pharmacy - only in limited supply for individuals though (like many of us who grew up with this cream in our mothers' first aid boxes!). One ingredient (apparently) had cancer-causing discussions at scientific circles... and that's part of the PR disaster that pr...

Can oxycodone and tylenol be compounded together in a liquid form? ## Hi Deb, From what I understand, both medications in and of themselves (Oxycodone and Acetaminophen) are available as liquid/oral solutions. So it's very likely that you could get a compounding pharmacy to combine the two for you once you present them with a valid prescription from your doctor, for authorization. I would just recommend consulting with a compounding pharmacist in your area first to see what it'll end up costing you and if there are any other pertinent details that you need to know about up front. Hope this helps! ## I take oxycodone and then OTC liquid or children's tylenol, and it seems to work fine. If your pharmacy says they can't do it for you, you could ask your dr if this could wor...

The link below is to a compounding pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. I have no affiliation, association or experience with them. I am posting this for the excellent and accurate information it contains. I have used ketamine intranasal spray at 50, 100, and 150 mg/ml solutions. Around 200 mg/ml, it may not remain dissolved. I have found that nasal administration of ketamine can play an important role in continued recovery from severe treatment-resistant depression, without the great expense and inconvenience of IV infusions. pavilioncompounding.com/blog/ketamine-nose-spray-for-depression-and-pain-management ## Hi I was wondering if you were able to dissaccosiate with the nasal spray like you do with the infusions? I've received 5 ketamine infusions and was feeling like a new person. I was giv...

Compounding Pharmacy has lost source of my Lactose free Warfarin they have been able to provide for years with no other added filler ingredients. Have an actual milk allergy (tested and confirmed) not a Lactose intolerance. Second compounding pharmacy having same problem! Express Scripts searched and have none. If you have a source I would love to hear about it. Need the Warfarin, but having to deal with diarrhea & nausea make it a struggle. Any help is appreciated!

I have hot pink hydrocodone 15/150 thats from a compounding pharmacy without markings ## That is normal, since the pharmacy had to make it for you as a special order. It is cheaper for them to use unmarked capsules, in most cases. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a hot pink capsule no imprint on it. I have heard its hydrocodone but im not sure any idea what it could be? ## Is it a long capsule hot pink no imprints i have one and am not sure what it is but it sounds similar to what ur describing?

If you are having bad side affects from Oxy OP find a compounding pharmacy that will make the formula for you. Not easy to find a one that will be able or willing to do this for you but they are out there. It is an option but make sure your doctor submits a pre-authorization for "compound" medication if you have insurance coverage. If not, the compound med is half the cost of regular OP pills. Many people do not know about compounding medicines so be prepared for that road block. Do research and be prepared. You may have to call a number of compounding pharmacies before you find one who can help you. Good Luck! ## I found that this is the best route ! Unfortunately living in the USA has not only been a prejudicial experience of drug,a,foabs that has reduced the average person to...

I have been using Dextromethorphan 60mg Sr/ER for pain management. I was prescribed this medication, which is made in a compounding pharmacy by a doctor in California who is actively involved with the NIH(National Institute of Health. This pain management doctor uses off label medications, but is light years ahead of the traditional pain management doctor, who goes through their steps of the various epidural, nerve blocks, a multitude of other treatment that all the other pain management physicians practice, all the way up to a spinal cord stimulator or pump. I tried all of those treatments and was told no treatment remains, other than heavy narcotics, which do not work in the slightest for me. I heard about this doctor through my brother as I was in the hospital on a dialaudid drip for...

Oxycodone 30 mg compound no markings blue and white ## A medication specially ordered by your doctor and done at a compounding pharmacy would usually not have any markings, they just use unmarked capsules. The FDA classifies Oxycodone as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Purple and green capsule no markings but has a sweet taste it's supposed to be a OxyContin ## Does anyone notice that tadte has alot to do with the effectiveness of their pain meds? I have noticed that the more bitter the pill the more effective it is , the more bland or sweeter it is the more non effective.

SULFUR & CREAM OF TARTAR CAPSULES ARE MADE BY COMPOUNDING PHARMACIST ALL OVER THE USA. TRY CHECKING WITH YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY PHARMACIST. THESE ARE GENERALLY NOT DONE BY ANY CHAIN DRUG STORE. ## You would have to look for a pharmacy that does compounding, not all of them do. It is also going to cost more to have them specially prepared, than if you were to find an existing formulation. Are there any questions or comments?

Have recently come across 12mg dilaudid a neighbor gets at a compound pharmacy ,though been unable to find any info at all on these. Help!? ## And you won't find any information on them. A compounding pharmacy creates the medications as specially ordered from someone's doctor. This may be done for several reasons, such as someone needing a combination of medications that isn't available on the market. Or as in this case, a dosage that isn't available in the standard prescription medications. That's also why they are in capsule form, the pharmacy orders empty capsules and then fills them with the dosage the doctor has ordered. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Thus, in this case, there are no special imprints to look up and there will be no details on it under that do...

20% ketoprofen2%baclofen2%cyclobenzaprine 5%lidocaine ## This is a topical cream used for pain relief, it generally has to be specially ordered by a doctor from a compounding pharmacy. Been trying to feel prescription for (11) Days I live n Metro Atlanta Georgia Need to know A Pharmacy that carries It ## Barbe, If you cannot find a pharmacy that carries it find a pharmacy that does "compounding" as they will be absolutely able to make this up for you. The doctor may have written it for a different amount than is carried in the box. Again a pharmacy that does "compounding."

is there a generic brand or less expensive brand of Tri est? ## It looks like TriEst is a combination of 3 different Estrogen hormones and has to obtained from a compounding pharmacy, because they have to create it for you, as it is not manufactured in that form, by any company. Thus, no, there is no cheaper alternative. However, you could ask your doctor why you need this HRT and if you could possibly use a different one. Have you spoken to them about the issue, yet?

I was given a blue and white capsule with white powder in it with NO IMPRINTING AT ALL on it and said it was a 30mg oxycodone. Is this possible?? Can a compounding pharmacy do this? ## Short answer: Yes, as long as the physician prescribed and there is a specific need for it to be compounded. That being said...I would be very cautious and inquire as to WHY they are compounding 30mg oxy as capsules instead of using the commercially produced tablets. I myself am a pharmacist and do many different types of compounding- mostly in the pain sector. and the only time I compound oxycodone is to combine it with either something for nausea (common side effect) or low dose ibuprofen or acetaminophen, or in combo with something to reduce/prevent constipation. I NEVER have compounded it by itself. T...

Why can't this be purchased at Walmart's pharmacy? ## Hello, Mai! How are you? Those abbreviations stand for Diclofenac, Lidocaine and Pentoxifyline. This is used for topical pain relief and improvement of blood flow, but such medications are only available by prescription in the U.S. You may need to go to a compounding pharmacy to have it specially made for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including headache, skin irritation, redness, itching and rash. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If this drug was prescribed in 201+, does it expire?
