My grandson was prescribed liquid Percocet after his tonsils were taken out. How much do they water it down? ## What dosage was he prescribed? It isn't watered down, per se, they do have to be careful how much fluid they mix it with, in order to maintain the stability of the medication, as well as making sure the patient gets the proper dosage. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Having tonsils removed can be very painful, so this a normal prescription that is given afterwards. Short term use of it should not result in addiction, or any other problems.

Can I use practin tablets for migraine headache?ma ## Practin contains the active ingredient Cyproheptadine, which is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergic reactions, so no, it will have no effect on a migraine that has already set in. There has been some evidence that it may help prevent them from occurring in young children and adolescents, but not in adults and, as I said, it does nothing once someone already has a migraine.
