Brown White Capsule With No Markings

I have a white capsule that has brown powder on the inside and no markings. It's a brownish red powder on the inside. What can it be? ## Hi Chasidy, Just out of curiosity, whereabouts did you get your pill from? Knowing its origin may provide helpful clues for narrowing down prospective pill ID's. Also, does the brownish/red powder have any sort of smell to it? Certain herbal supplements have distinct (recognizable) odors. Unfortunately, without the verification of a lab analysis, a pill with no markings could turn out to be anyone's best guess... One thing's for sure though, and that is, the FDA doesn't approve any US prescription drugs that do not have an imprint or marking of some kind for reference. I found some capsules, they are white with grey caps, there are no numbers, letters or markings of any kind. I came across some pills that got mixed into another bottle with some so I am not sure what they are now. They are capsules and look like a very light gray and white capsule. The powder inside is brown. There are no markings or imprints on the capsule at all. ## I am sorry, but without any markings, it will be impossible to positively identify, unless you would pay to have it lab tested. We can safely say it is a not a legal U.S. prescription drug, since by law they are all required to have markings to enable their ID. What is this large white capsule with a light brown powder inside? Just found it while cleaning a hotel room. ## Hi Liza, There are countless conceivable herbal products that fit this type of description as well as various OTC dietary supplements. With so many possibilities, it would be very challenging to narrow down anything in particular. If you think it could be something illicit, I believe your best bet for identifying it would be through a lab analysis / drug panel or perhaps taking the pill into a local pharmacy for a closer evaluation. Other than that, it seems to me like it should just be discarded to remain on the safe side. Please post back if you find out any additional information.

All manufactured prescription medications are required to have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exceptions to this would be something that was specially ordered by a doctor and created by a compounding pharmacy, but they usually use clear capsules, since they are the cheapest and most readily available. We can rule them out as being a U.S. prescription product, since they are all require to have markings to enable their identification. Compounding pharmacies sometimes do specially ordered medications, but they use plain capsules, in most cases. There arent any prescription markings on it. Its a big pill almost plastic like, I found it on my bed after my after my boyfriend left. Im guessing its from one of his friends. Approx 15 mm long white capsule with one clear end cap outside is has brown spots inside contains white small balls ## Hi Steve, I just thought I'd ask, does the pill have any imprints or markings of any sort? Most prescription medications have an imprint(s) to ensure that the pill(s) can be identified. If it doesn't have an imprint, it could've been smudged off at some point or it could likely be a vitamin or other OTC medication. I found this capsule in the bathroom. It is brown and white with the markings F 47. The brown side has F & the white side has 47 on it. Any ideas? Thank you. ## This capsule is manufactured by Aurobindo and they list it as containing 80mgs of Atomoxetine, which is a stimulant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia, irritability, and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It’s generic Straterra Which is not a stimulant according to the FDA. I tried it once and it sucked. I slept all day People with ADHD need stimulation medication. Period. Found these pills in my sons room. He says they are pain pills of some sort but I am not sure. I found a blue and white capsule with a tan/off white powder inside. The blue part of the capsule has indentations around it. The capsule is pretty large, bigger than a multi-vitamin size. It is encased in a small, plastic cylinder that opens. There are no markings on the capsule. Any ideas on what this is? ## It sounds like some sort of herbal compound and/or a dietary supplement. I found a bottle in my old car and found inside it a few pills that in one side was blue or royal blue and in the other side was white. Opened it up and inside was a same SIzed ppill form that was dark brown. The smell off it could pass for beef broth cubes. Help would be appreciated. ## Are there any markings, at all, on them?
