Baclofen 20mg
40 Topics FoundCan Baclofen 20mg help with withdrawal from xamax and pain medcationss? ## Hi Shirley, Based on my research, Baclofen is a muscle relaxant and most commonly used for those trying to battle alcohol addiction. However, I have heard of some using it to withdraw from opiates and benzodiazepines (like xanax) with some success. I believe the reason why it may help, is because it is an anxiolytic which help to decrease anxiety. I know anxiety is one of the main issues people suffer from when going through withdrawal. Something to keep in mind however, is that the discontinuation of Baclofen can be associated with a withdrawal syndrome that resembles benzodiazepine withdrawal and alcohol withdrawal. Withdrawal symptoms are more likely to occur if Baclofen is used for long periods of time (more ...
I have been takeing soma for muscle spasms for a while know. Another doctor wanted me to try Baclofen 20mg. I found that the Baclofen made me feel a little strange and dopey. The Soma does not. I do like to take the Baclofen at night instead of Soma as it makes me very sleepy and does help me sleep better and longer. I like the Soma for dureing the day because it does not make me sleepy and can function better. When my body feels tired I experience more pain and spasm, hence the Baclofen when need to sleep. Hope this helps ## It is normal for medications to work differently, for different people. Is it safe to take 20mg baclofen, 800mg ibuprofen and 200mg gabapentin at the same time? I've been taking it for muscle spasms and sciatica. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no drug interactions listed between Ibuprofen, Gabapentin and Baclofen. This doesn't necessarily mean that no interactions exist, so I would still encourage you to discuss this with your doctor first. However, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to take them together based upon my own investigation - Especially if these are all prescribed to you. I hope this helps!
