Can Baclofen 20mg help with withdrawal from xamax and pain medcationss? ## Hi Shirley, Based on my research, Baclofen is a muscle relaxant and most commonly used for those trying to battle alcohol addiction. However, I have heard of some using it to withdraw from opiates and benzodiazepines (like xanax) with some success. I believe the reason why it may help, is because it is an anxiolytic which help to decrease anxiety. I know anxiety is one of the main issues people suffer from when going through withdrawal. Something to keep in mind however, is that the discontinuation of Baclofen can be associated with a withdrawal syndrome that resembles benzodiazepine withdrawal and alcohol withdrawal. I have been takeing soma for muscle spasms for a while know. Another doctor wanted me to try Baclofen 20mg. I found that the Baclofen made me feel a little strange and dopey. The Soma does not. I do like to take the Baclofen at night instead of Soma as it makes me very sleepy and does help me sleep better and longer. I like the Soma for dureing the day because it does not make me sleepy and can function better. When my body feels tired I experience more pain and spasm,hence the Baclofen when need to sleep. Sometimes, when your doctor wants you to try something different, you have to give it a go, for a few weeks and then just let them know if it has bad effects or doesn't work as well for you....

Is it safe to take 20mg baclofen, 800mg ibuprofen and 200mg gabapentin at the same time? I've been taking it for muscle spasms and sciatica. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no drug interactions listed between Ibuprofen, Gabapentin and Baclofen. This doesn't necessarily mean that no interactions exist, so I would still encourage you to discuss this with your doctor first. However, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to take them together based upon my own investigation - Especially if these are all prescribed to you. I hope this helps!

Taken baclofen 10mg 3 times a day for a few weeks for back, also taking Amlodipine besyltate 5mg, for high blood pressure. Blood pressure still high, so he doubled my Amlodipine and added Benazepril Hydrochloride 20mg. I stopped the baclofen, my script says 3 x a day as needed. but I'm finding that I have a mild dry cough at times & when I wake up I'm confused about different things like where's the bathroom for example or time of day. I was switched from Soma 350mg to balcofen 20mg. By my Doc. and don't like how tired I feel with Balcofen.... Although Soma used to put me out and even black out at times.. ## Hello, Slick! How are you? How long have you been taking the Baclofen? Tiredness can be a side effect of muscle relaxants, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. If you've only been taking it for a short time, you may be experiencing side effects of it, coupled with withdrawal effects from stopping the Soma.

Hi, my name is Chris I am raking Norco 10/325mg, baclofen 20mg, and gabapentin 600mg all which I take 4× a day. Now my doctor put me on soma 3× a day in place of the baclofen. My question is can I take soma with the gabapentin600mg and Norco 10/325mg. I'm taking them due to a car accident which left me a quadriplegic C5 incomplete SCI. My muscle spasms are uncontrollable I've broken ribs and had other injuries due to them. ## I take Gabapentin and Soma as well. I don't take the 3rd med you mentioned. I have not found any adverse side effects with the combination of Gabapentin and Soma. I would definitely determine how the soma affects you before driving or working. Normally, if I have to drive somewhere, I take the Soma after I arrive or 10 minutes before I arrive....
