My sister-in-law is in a Skilled Nursing Center. She just started taking this pill and doesn't know why. I can't find the answer either. It just has a capital "M" and small letters "pg". What is the purpose of this pill, please? ## Hello, Dale! How are you? I think the imprint on it might actually be M P9, it is manufactured by Matrix Laboratories and they list it as containing 40mgs of Pantoprazole in a time released formulation, it is used to help reduce the amount of stomach acid someone produces to treat, or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, gastritis, and ulcers. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and flatulence. Can you please double check the imprint and post back? Thank you!

The pill is white, round and has a capital R on one side, and the number 5 on the other side. It is not a small pill. The capital R almost looks like a capital P with a line coming off it to look like an R. I don't know if that's some kind of imprint. ## Hi Selina, The closest match I could locate is identified as Levocetirizine dihydrochloride (5 mg); which is used in the treatment of allergies. This pill has the same imprint of "R" on one side (of a score line) and "5" on the other; but is Elliptical / Oval shaped, as opposed to round. I know some people tend to regard something that's oval as round, so I thought best to double check on this one. For verification, the manufacturer of this pill is Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited. pink/red pill with sc-1 on one side and on the other has a weird shape. its oval shape ## Can you describe the weird shape on the opposite side a little better? That's pretty ambiguous and doesn't give me a lot to search on. And is the marking SC-1 or possible SCI (capital i)? Learn more prescription drug details here.

93 on half of the pill and blank on other side. It's kind of a fat pill. ## I need to identify a peach colored pill with a N on top n a 75 on bottom filled with beads in an oval shape. Not sure what it is. Anyway I can send you a pic to help ## @Cp, Do you happen to know what color the pill is that you're describing? @Lisa, As far as I know, capsules are the only type of pill to contain beads, so I think it's pretty rare to hear about an oval shaped pill containing beads... Might you be referring to "capsules" being oval in the sense that they curve around the edges? I only ask because I located a peach colored capsule with a capital "N" on top of a dividing line, with the number "75" printed below it [in red ink]. This particular pill turned out to b...
