100+ Topics FoundExemestane, sold under the brand name Aromasin among others, is a medication used to treat breast cancer. It is a member of the class of antiestrogens known as aromatase inhibitors. Some breast cancers require estrogen to grow. Those cancers have estrogen receptors (ERs), and are called ER-positive. They may also be called estrogen-responsive, hormonally-responsive, or hormone-receptor-positive. Aromatase is an enzyme that synthesizes estrogen. Aromatase inhibitors block the synthesis of estr...
Hey all - I've been on Lamictal for about 8 months (bipolar) and I titrated up to 200mg, except during the jump from 150-200mg I quit smoking cigarettes and marijuana at almost precisely the same time I upped the Lamictal dose. I read in some medical literature that nicotine suppresses the effectiveness of Lamictal, and I can only speculate about the marijuana/Lamictal relationship. So there I was thinking that I was taking 150mg, but while smoking, my body probably wasn't absorbing/utilizing that much (quantitative difference? not sure). From the dose jump, 150-200mg, I noticed a vast increase in the substantiality of side effects that Lamictal proposed upon me from the get-go. Light headedness, word-finding problems, difficultly reading/spelling, handwriting and math out the w...
high estrogen ## Hello, Are you referring to Armidex? If so, my research tells me that Arimidex (the brand name for the main ingredient Anastrozole) is an aromatase inhibitor that helps prevent the production of estrogen, a hormone that fuels many breast cancer tumors. Aromatase inhibitors can block the enzyme aromatase, a substance that helps your body tissues produce estrogen. Arimidex is considered a hormonal treatment, and can help prevent recurrence (return) of breast cancer. Possible side effects (patients with early stage breast cancer have reported these symptoms): -hot flashes -joint pain -weakness -mood swings -sore throat -nausea and vomiting -depression -high blood pressure -osteoporosis (bone thinning) -swelling of arms and/or legs -headache You can learn more about this dr...
Carbidopa (Lodosyn) is a drug given to people with Parkinson's disease in order to inhibit peripheral metabolism of levodopa. This property is significant in that it allows a greater proportion of peripheral levodopa to cross the blood–brain barrier for central nervous system effect. Hydroquinone, also known as benzene-1,4-diol or quinol, is an aromatic organic compound that is a type of phenol, a derivative of benzene, having the chemical formula C6H4(OH)2. It has two hydroxyl groups bonded to a benzene ring in a para position. It is a white granular solid. Substituted derivatives of this parent compound are also referred to as hydroquinones. The name "hydroquinone" was coined by Friedrich Wöhler in 1843.[7] Contents 1 Production 2 Reactions 2....

Wintergreen is a group of aromatic plants. The term "wintergreen" once commonly referred to plants that remain green (continue photosynthesis) throughout the winter. The term "evergreen" is now more commonly used for this characteristic. Most species of the shrub genus Gaultheria demonstrate this characteristic and are called wintergreens in North America, the most common generally being the American wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens). Wintergreens in the genus Gaultheria contain an aromatic...
uses and side effects of Adova tablet ## Based on my research, Adova tab contains the active ingredient Anastrozole; which belongs to the class of nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. Anastrozole is sometimes prescribed for infertility, but is often used with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat early breast cancer in women who have experienced menopause. It works by decreasing the amount of estrogen the body makes. This, in turn, can slow or stop the growth of many types of breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow. Side effects may include: weakness headache hot flashes sweating stomach pain nausea vomiting loss of appetite constipation diarrhea heartburn weight gain joint, bone, or muscle pain breast pain mood changes depression difficulty falling asleep or sta...

It is used to treat conditions such heartburn, GERD, Ulcers and gastritis. Did you have any questions? ## Which combination solve the best for stomach discomfort, belching, 1)antacids(mylanta,magtasil,aromag,hydrosil tablet) 2)PPIs(omeprazole) 3)H2 blockers ( ranitidine, famotidine) 4) Meteospasmyl, domperidone Doctor prescribed me with Magtasil, domperidone and omeprazole. But i still feel too much gas in the stomache and cause me to belch alot. i was thinking to replace magtasil with hydrosil tablet as it contains semethicone thats help to break the gas bubbles. My question 1)can i take with omeprazole and do...
After 2 months of use i've noticied ankle feet swelling and increased edginess. Anyone one els? i use 3 pumps per day. ## From other T injection forums, this is an estrogen issue that can be handled with estrogen blockers. More common with T injections as they deliver so much all at once. ## I believe Dankster is partially on the right track, the weight gain and fluid retention are due to estrogen. When you supplement a hormone back, it tends to wake up the estrogen receptors in your body, so things go kind of crazy for awhile and yes, an aromatase inhibitor that blocks estrogen may help, if it's safe for you to use one. However, the edgy feeling is most likely due to the testosterone itself and it just your body adjusting to the higher level of it. The same thing happens to wom...

Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4, THB), also known as sapropterin (INN),[2][3] is a cofactor of the three aromatic amino acid hydroxylase enzymes,[4] used in the degradation of amino acid phenylalanine and in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT), melatonin, dopamine, norepinephrine (noradrenaline), epinephrine (adrenaline), and is a cofactor for the production of nitric oxide (NO) by the nitric oxide syntheses....
