How effective is this med and what's the side effects? Coz I have a sister who has just recently been prescribed Amvasc BE 10mg coz her BP is high. ## Amvasc Be contains the active ingredient Amlodipine, helping control high blood pressure is a very common use for it. As to its effectiveness, fr some people it is very effective, but there are always some people that it does not work for. I currently take it, twice a day and it works well for helping with mine, with minimal side effects. Common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. I'm taking amvasc 10mg as prescribe by my doctor since my bp reading after my vacation 157/97 after 1 week of medication my bp now became lower to 113/70 with pulse rate of 71 shall i continue taking 10mg or reduce the dose to 5mg? ## Visit the doctor again for further advice.
