400 mgm tab 180 ## You can find ibuprofen 400 mg tabs for around $40 dollars for 200 of them. I don't know if it will be the generic or possibly Motrin. But it's best to check at your local Walgreens, CVS, or other drug store. I'm pretty certain even stores like Walmart sell Ibuprofen for cheap. Please post back if you have any other questions about this.

I need to know if hydrocodone ibuprofen expires? the prescription was filled 10/11/2010..will it be safe or effective? ## To answer your question, yes these medications do have an expiration date, but it may be a lot farther away than you might expect. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. Source: health.harvard.edu/fhg/updates/update1103a.shtml I wouldn't be surprised if it lost some of its potency by now, but based on what I've read I think it would be perfectly fine to still use it as needed. I hope this helps! ## Thank you! I did take it and it did its job thankfully and didnt kill me so i guess i am goo...

I was told today, taking 2 Tylenol and 2 ibuprofen is equivelant to taking morphine for pain! Is there any truth to that? ## Hello, Keith! How are you? No, that is not accurate. Alternating the two, say by taking Tylenol in the morning, then Ibuprofen 8 hours later can sometimes result in better pain relief, because it can help reduce swelling more significantly that just taking one or the other, but it will not be anywhere close to Morphine and doubling up on them, at the same time, could be dangerous, due to the toxic effects they may have on the liver. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I need to know for a 15 yr old weighing 126lbs, is it safe for her to take two Tylenol 500mg and two Ibuprofen 200mg, which is a total of 1,400 mg at once? ## Is it safe to take Ibuprofen and ...

Is it safe too take if I took a Tylenol #3 four hours ago and then I just took a 200 mg anvil PM? ? ## Hello, Dimples! How are you? Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are rather similar, though not exactly the same and they are sometimes alternated in the cases of severe pain or fever. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Learn more Ibuprofen details here. However, what's most relevant here is what is safe for you. Since I don't know your medical history, I can't say one way or the other. Have you consulted your doctor?

My wife has horrible tooth pain in the upper and lower right molars. She just took two ea 200 mg ibuprofen about 1 hr ago with no relief. Can she take 1 10 mg hydrocodone/325 mg apap now? ## No, the two anti-inflammatories, Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen should not be mixed, that is too high of an amount of them and it raises the risk of bleeding and other complications. Has she contacted a dentist? ## correction. Ibuprofen and acteminophen serve 2 distinctly differant objectives and are wholey compatible to be used with each other. In fact is quite often perscrbed together. Ask doctor for cor5rect dossages. ## acetaminophen (Tylenol) does NOT have anti-inflammatory properties. It is ONLY an analgesic(pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer ## I have a severe toothache. I've b...

Having real bad ear infection pain, I took two 5/325 norco and ibuprofen 800 for inflammation. Should i not have taken them at the same time? ## Hello, Purdy! How are you? They can be taken together, as long as your doctor has instructed you to take them both. But, as reported by the FDA, you may experience more side effects than usual, such as more intense nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took half of a Lortab 10; the white one with m367 on one side and a line on the other, but before that I took 4 ibuprofen 200 mg which 4 made it 800 mg. I can't sleep. I'm supposed to take my blood pressure medicine at 11/12 tonight but I haven't.

Can someone please explain the difference between Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, and Tylenol? I’m already maxed out on maximum Ibuprofen at 1600 mg a day spread out 4xs a day and a (really low dose of Gabapentin 200 mg 3xs a day) for forearm pain. The Ibuprofen isn’t enough when the pain hits hard and fast despite having a high tolerance for pain. ## Acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol or APAP) is the same thing as Tylenol. Tylenol is just the retail "brand" name. It is not an NSAID. It can be hard on your liver but typically won't cause ulcers or bleeding. Ibuprofen (brand name Advil) IS an NSAID which can increase your risk of bleeding, raise blood pressure and increase the chance of cardiovascular ailments. Tylenol and Ibuprofen are safe to take together and c...

She took 2300 mgs ibuprofen all at once 24 hours ago. She vomited within 30 min. Do I need to worry that she overdosed? ## Hello, Jennifer! How is your daughter doing? In the future, any time you fear for the life or health of a loved one, please call 911, your local poison control or go to your nearest emergency treatment facility. While there are those of us online that are always happy to help, if we can, there is nothing we can do over the Internet, if life saving measures might be required. That said, that is a very high dosage to take at once, so there is a risk that she may have done some damage to her stomach or liver, which should be checked out via blood work and other exams. The maximum daily dose for adults is usually around 3,200mgs. But the vomiting could have been a sympt...

I'm looking for liquid gel Ibuprofen 200 mg which is actually made in the USA, not not made outside the country for patients in the USA. ## Most medications are manufactured in foreign countries, now. However, there is nothing to worry about, because it has to meet the same standards as any other medication available for sale in the U.S. Ibuprofen is a NSAID that is most commonly used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. Its typical side effects may include nausea, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. At this time, it is not advisable to take it for coronavirus symptoms, as they are unsure if warnings about it possibly worsening symptoms are accurate, or not. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm taking sulfamethoxazole and I got a headache. I usually take 3/200 mg of ibuprofen for headaches is that okay to take with sulfamethoxazole? ## Hello, Girl! How are you? No, Sulfamethoxazole can actually increase the levels of the Ibuprofen, which could cause toxicity and/or overdose, so this combination should be avoided, unless your doctor has said that it's safe for you to take them together. Side effects to this antibiotic may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. I am taking Ibuprofen for knee pain, wrist pain, arthritis. I just want to know how many times a day I need to take it? I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs. I've been taking it twice a day and it has not helped much so I'm really hoping that more will help. I need some relief. ## Hi AJ - the Advil label states: "adults and children 12 years and over; take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist... if pain or fever does not respond to 1 tablet, 2 tablets may be used... do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor." So, you can technically take up to 2 x 200 mg tablets, 3 times per day. It sounds like you aren't taking that many yet. Also, it is not recommended to take Ibuprofen over a long period of time since it can increase the risk of s...

Have been taking 2 generic Ibuprofen 200 mg each (400 total) since Tuesday around 4pm for right side back pain from a fall on Saturday night - Aspirin before that. Not working. Tried Lidocaine patches 5% - Wednesday; no relief; took Naproxen 220mg - 2 of them; still no relief; can I take Hydrocondone Acetaminophen 7.25/325 now Friday AM? And if so, how far apart from the ibuprofen which I just took again? ## Have you had this checked out? If the pain is so severe that nothing you've listed has helped, then it might be time to have some consults to find out if the fall might really have done some damage. According to NIH reports it could be due to anything from a kidney stone to a broken rib, or fractured disk. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

Expiration date is 11/2013. Is it safe to use? ## Hi Carol! Most medications are safe to use even after the expiration date. Sometimes for years. Some may lose their potency after awhile. ## @Carol, If you've been keeping it under what's considered to be "proper storage conditions" (i.e. - not leaving it under intense heat sources for extended periods of time, and storing it in a cool dark place), studies show that many medications can last for even up to 10 or 15 years beyond the expiration date while maintaining potency. I haven't seen the specific list of medications involved in these particular studies, but given the details above, it sounds like your ibuprofen should still be near it's prime. I hope this helps! ## Hi I would like to know my husband was on pr...

I have been taking Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen 7.5-200mg tabs for over 10 years now for chronic pain from having my jaw smashed & back broken. The past two months I have received a different generic from Wallgreens with Actavis as the manufacturer and THEY DO NOT WORK. Absolute crap!! I tried taking more to get the same normal affect and now I have had nothing but major stomach issues and ears ringing. I am going to my Dr on Monday to discuss!! This is ridiculous!! I am going to report to FDA and wallgreens headquarters!! Please let me know if anyone else feels this way?? Thank you. ## I had the exact same issue when I went to have my script filled at Walgreens in Dec 2016.
