Can anyone please tell me what it is? ## I believe the marking on the tablets in question may have actually been G 3721 and they contain 1mg of Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax, which is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. white oblong ## I found pills in my son's room. They are white oblong with 1721 om 1 side and M on other side ## it is Propoxyphene (generic for Darvocet) ## That is correct. And to add some updated details, as can be read in the monograph at the link that I posted, Propoxyphene and it's relatives have been removed from the market in most countries due to the risk it caused of cardiac dangers and an inordinate number of overdose deaths. What is a pink oblong pill with 172 or G172 imprinted on one side? ## It's an over the counter Pepto bismal pill. ## Just to confirm, I've also identified pill imprint G172 as Pepto Bismol; which contains (262 mg) of Bismuth subsalicylate. "Pepto-Bismol is an over-the-counter drug currently produced by the Procter and Gamble company in the United States of America, Canada and in United Kingdom, to treat minor digestive system upset. Its active ingredient is bismuth subsalicylate. The primary symptoms aided by Pepto-Bismol are nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea, and other temporary discomforts of the stomach and GI tract." I hope this helps!

it says gpc 172 on one side nothing on the other side ## I can't find a listing for this exact pill, but I am sure that is because these ones marked with GPC are over the counter items. They are sold by many stores as the generics or store brands. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere?
