Though they are often thought to be the same as Valium, Centrax tablets actually contain a different benzodiazepine called Prazepam, it is used to treat anxiety, nervous disorders, seizures, for sedation and as a muscle relaxant.

Similar to other drugs in this class, it may also be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, fatigue and lethargy.

Of interest to note is that this one is known to cause fewer occurrences of the side effects than its relatives.
