Tablet Pioz 7.5

I am diabetic since last 20 years. Recently my doctor prescribed Pioz 7.5. I am on insulin. I am taking Human Actrapit 3 times before every meal and Lantus at night. After taking Pioz there is a weight gain and swelling on the feet. Kindly suggest, do I need to take Pioz if I ma on insulin? Your reply would be appreciated.

What are your blood sugar readings?

If they are still high and out of control, yes, you may need the additional medication.

However, you should have the weight gain and swelling checked out to be safe.

The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and flatulence.
