The last 2 years of taking suboxone I have had severe anxiety which has caused me to really go threw way too much Xanax. I have just found out that naloxone has a lot of side effects that I have had and have been suffering from. What should I tell my suboxone doctor who I would think should know this ive told them 100s of times all the symptoms and I actually think their are more side effects than reported I noticed when I abruptly stopped taking them that the itching and tingling in my face was gone which was an everyday thing I also am wondering if it has caused me other serious side effects not reported like my periods are out of whack and unusual im 43 and my whole life I have always been pretty skinny. But in this last year and a half I have put on close to 50 pounds out of nowhere and it seems to be all in my stomach/abdomen if I even just clean my house I am short of breathe and breathing heavy n towards the early evening my stomach blows up and looks like I am 8 months pregnant and its hard to breathe my stomach is tight and huge I really look like I am going to have a baby anyday. This has effected my life in a bad way a lot and has caused me depression, severe anxiety, cant wear jeans and basically just feeling like a pregnant woman. Its definitely affected my life in a very negative way its like im bedridden I have not changed any thing like my diet or how I eat and like I said it just snuck up on me and literally put on excessive weight over night. I have been feeling pretty much disabled and would like some relief. This has affected my life severly in so many negative ways and has reduced and restricted me to not live my life to the fullest...Its truly been a huge disability. Have their been any similar reports I need answers also did I mention the low grade fevers that come and go and usually hit me late afternoon everyday and some times lasts months...Goes away for awhile than comes back. Anything you can tell me would mean a great deal to me im barely living its not a good life anymore.

Hello, Sandy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having.

However, the symptoms that you're describing could be from perimenopause. Have you consulted a gynecologist?

It is very normal for your periods to change and to start experiencing such symptoms, including the weight gain and feverishness, once past the age of 40. It's when our bodies start prepping for menopause and we aren't ovulating as often. Most of these symptoms are caused by not producing as much progesterone and having far too much estrogen, because we've gone out of balance. You can read the details in reports from the NIH.

I went through very similar symptoms, starting right around age 42 and had to go to my doctor for help.
