i recently took myself off pain meds(opiates) altogether.,im tired of dependency.however about once a week i take a suboxone strip when i get cravings.i took a half a strip today(Sat) around 6.pm and found out we have a random drug test at work tomorrow night(SUN)or mon.morningwe get tested at a lab then get rersults in 2-5 days.will it appear in a lab drugscreening for work 24-36 hours after taking?if yes how can i appear clean for test.

Actually it is by law that you attend atleast one counseling once a month wether you pay for medication yourself or a insurance pays for it. The doctor will get in trouble if they dont have a paper on file signed by a counselor for each month of active treatment. And most insurances will not cover the medication if you dont attend some type of counseling and turn it in to the doctor. Of course if you get the medication from the streets you dont have to attend any counseling but in my opinion its not the safest route to go as you can take to much and overdose on it! I was on parole they use to give the 12 drug test scan i look at the test they had stack on a rack they have one specific test for that i came up negative everytime its only one test specifically for that....

Bizman, I understand and opiates are a b****. I quit a 13 yr morphine habit all dr prescribed but i was fed up with the bs, the pill junkies breaking into my house. I did it cold turkey, i wanted to die. I took Kratom, it helped. I took it awhile until i could afford a suboxone dr. I have a tremendous amount of will power but i have extreme pain every day and the subs at least take the pain edge off. I take 1/8 of an 8mg strip every 12 hrs. I do not want to resort to that morphine s*** again.

I go to a doctor and get zubsolv prescribed to me. In order for my insurance (Medicaid) to pay for it, they (Medicaid) require me to take and pass a drug test every month. Otherwise, my doctor would only do a drug screen every 3 months..I've been taking suboxone/zubsolv for almost 3yrs. Started out on suboxone, now (for a year and a half) Im prescribed zubsolv. Anyhow, my question is, can you use someone elses urine and put a small piece of suboxone or zubsolv in it to make sure you don't fail your drug screen for anything (they test for everything im sure) and at the same time make sure you pass for the zubsolv/sub?

Does the suboxone film show up differently then the pill....I take the strip and I forgot mine but a friend of mine had the pills will that show a differents?

I also take Zubsolv and it shows up the exact same as the suboxone strips and yes u can add a small piece of the strip or pill to clean urine but just a VERY VERY tiny piece . Cuz it's not metabolized that way so just a tiny tiny piece

My daughter is in drug court. Today at court she tested Negative for the drug suboxone The judge sent her back to the crisis addiction center until a bed is available in a Rehab. At this crisis center they test her as soon as she got back from court and they said she tested positive. She absolutely did not take the drug. Now shes in jail for something she positively did not do. they are going to listen to the crisis center over my daughter. Cant her lawyer or someone be ordered to have a drug test done in jail before the weekends over so we can prove that she did not take the drug. PLEASE HELP ME

the drug tests arent always giving false reading...and for it to be inaccurate in that position shes in...my heart goes out to you guys..You could call the court clerk and plead your case. get a lhats just lawyer involved. thats just wrong

I am hoping you will see this and can reply as soon as possible. (as well as anyone else who might be reading) I am a 29 year old, newly single mother and I have been on pain medication for 9 years. I have severe endometriosis, a tumor in my left ear/head called Cholesteatoma and I was just diagnosed with an Auto-Immune Disorder which has put me in so much pain daily that I can hardly get normal daily functions done at all. Just recently I have made the decision to get off of opiots/narcs (I used to take 30mg of oxycodone 8 times a day, but in the recent months have taken myself down to only 10/325 of percocet 3 times a day) I am SICK and TIRED of taking pain medication as I feel it too is slowly sucking the life out of me. I am starting over as a single mother and because of my illnesses I can no longer work (I used to be a physiotherapist) but now, I am NOT wanting to let this get in my way and have been working on an online boutique to help support my baby and I. I want my life back......So, now to the question I am hoping to get answered.
A few days ago (2/13/2013 I was down to my last 2 pills. My mother got ill and I missed my appt to get my refill so I just started cutting them into 4's. On valentines day my withdrawls were so bad I couldn't take it anymore, and I know this is totally illegal, but my uncle gave me two 8mg/2mg Subuxone strips swearing that not only would it take my withdrawls away, but that it would help with my pain and I would be able to get off of the pain medication finally and get my life back. I took the first one and within 30 minutes I almost felt like my old self which I havn't felt in 9 years, and even though a small amount of my pain was still there, it was better than what the pain medications were doing to me (which was always tired, could never have the energy to get up and do anything, plus I was tired of being labeled as a drug user and treated like one! I have very serious health issues and I HAD to take them just to even shower in the morning, but I was & still am sick of being dependant on them day after day..I am just done!)

Anyways, I had the best day ever on the 14th and just took the last/second strip that he gave me on the 16th at 9pm. I want to bring up to my doctor when I go in on monday or tuesday that I want to be taken off of the pain medication and put on subuxone, (they have mentioned it before to me, but I was too afraid of what might happened if I had stopped taking the percocet so I turned it down) The only thing I am afraid of, is if they urine test me (which they only do once every 4 months or so, and not even that since I have been the perfect patient *until now of course* and I feel horrible about it) I am afraid that if they do, I will come up positive for the subuxone (remember, I only had 2 strips one on valentines day and another Saturday night at 9pm) I don't want to get in trouble, but I feel that getting on the sub will be the only way I can start to make a better life for myself so I can take care of me and my daughter better......Everytime I take a pain pill I hate myself, I HATE it....and on top of that, if I ever go into the hospital, etc. etc. people treat me like I am a drug addict because I am on them, even with my underlying medical conditions!) I need to be free of them, and the subuxone was a dream come true even though there was still some slight pain, but I rather live with that, than have to take 8 pills a day again (although like I said above, I did ween myself down and went through withdrawls before I started the sub)
Will I be ok if my doctor does indeed ask me to do a urine test? I feel so guilty and horrible as I have never done anything, ever, outside of what my dr. told me to take and how much etc.......So not only will I be asking him start me on subuxone (which I think I will have to lie to her and let her know that I am already withdrawing? since I read somewhere that the only way it can work for someone is to be withdrawing from the oxy's in the first place? or is that for only if you are an addict wanting to get off of illegal drugs and or narcotics/opiots) and if because I took the 2mg strips will it show up? Also, I am using this to help my with my pain, not just to get off of pain medication as I do have my horrible health issues.

I am so sorry if this was long winded or confusing. I just need some help/guidance since I have never broken the rules before and I don't want to let my Dr. down. I hope someone can help. Thank you for your time. Also, before I go, I have a feeling I will start to feel withdrawls on monday or tuesday anyway since that last strip was Saturday night, and this itself is really scaring me. I just don't want to put another oxycodone, perc, or vicodin in my mouth ever again!! I want to get on the road of recovery and help my pain but not be on that stupid medication ever again! I want to be able to play with my child since she is getting older. Thanks again, and I apologize for the very long post.....*hugs*

Medtox has a new 12 panel out. One is BU which is buprenorphine. The main component of suboxone and subutex. I just took one yesterday so its not hearsay, its 100% truth. Thanks

My husband got addicted to prescription pain killers after he was injured at work and prescribed them. We heard about the Suboxone program and decided to give it a try even though it seemed silly to replace pills with more pills. I'm glad we did!!! It actually saved our marriage. My husband is a totally different person from the addict he'd become. He is on strips now, which means the potential to abuse them have been diminished. I recommend to ANYONE with an opiate addiction to give it a try. My husband doesn't have to attend meetings on his program, but I know ppl that do. Depends on the Dr, i suppose.
As far as Sub showing up on drug tests....this is what I know...Most places only do standard testing like for employment, because you have to have a specific test for Sub. Where I live, the Drug Court just got the special test for Sub, but I don't think all Drug Courts have them yet. I've also been told that if you were to get pulled over by the police, depending where you live, they will drug test you and Sub is on the list of things they test for. I'm not sure about that part. Just heard it from an authority figure yesterday.
