Hi. I've been on Suboxone for a few years now and 2 months ago my Dr passed away suddenly and I've been having a lot of issues getting my medication prescribed. Can anybody provide a referral?

Hello Sami! Thank's so much for your reply! A huge help!
I'm just a bit confused on two of the name's of the center's you provided.
Are you saying Best and Year's? Are they two different center's? If you can give me a bit more detail. I googled but found nothing.
Thank you doll!
Re: RodTaub (# 1)
This is not true. There are doctor's who do not charge a fee and process it through your medicate insurance. You just have to look! I know this because my doctor, and I have been to two, go through my insurance.

I am so glad I found your reply! my dr currently is so impersonal, but she does prescribe. I've been wanting so switch.. I am going to try this guy. for anyone else, Dr Maria Andrianova In Babylon is a primary care physician who will prescribe subs or vivitrol... but she is very awkward and cold.. and strict.. my LEVELS were off and she threatened to not write my next script.. sorry my metabolism is fast. she makes you come every 2 weeks no matter how long you go. but if you want to get in an out and you need someone right away, go to her. She wouldnt fill my already prescribed psych meds (lamictal, etc) just fyi for anyone else :)
I've had both straight medicaid and then fidelis through medicaid and never had a problem finding a dr to prescribe suboxone on long island. just go to their website and the find a doctor section.. or you can call them (the insurance) and ask them to help you find a doctor) That's what I've done. I have had to switch doctors 3 times over the past 2 years and never had a problem finding a new one, each time it took no longer than 2-3 days depending on available appointments.
Another route you could try is googling "suboxone doctors long island + medicaid" and then calling the names that come up and asking them if they will take your insurance.
i posted this down below but it was in reply to someone by accident! hope this is helpful to someone!! :)

Dr. Michael Karp, Union Blvd. Ste. E. Unfortunately I wasn't ready and missed a few appointments and was dirty so I lost that doctor but he's excellent and writes sleep meds and anti-anxiety and he's a primary he's great and he's an addictionologist also dr. Yambo who just lost his license so he can't help you with that but there's also best and ears of Long Island best isn't Deer Park years in Smithtown

I have been taking Roxicodone/Percocet for 3 years and recently been on subs for 6 months... I'm trying to find a doctor in bayshore, deerpark and surrounding areas that take Medicaid. If anyone knows of any, plz give me info... Thanks a bunch.
Stat health in deer park does my subutex/suboxone scripts and they take obama care and commercial insurances. One dirty U/A on their program and you're kicked out.
Gee, I wonder why there's an opiate epidemic on Long Island....
you are so right about saving that person 36 hours at a minimum for a suboxone doctor. Any and all doctors should have to take the 8 hour course designed to write out that frigging script. Pretty soon there is going to be a real push on Long Island to start naming names of these doctors. I am going to start my own group to get help. Currently there is a 2500 patient wait to get onto a methodone clinic, and Suffolk NY only has four of them. They keep the same people on for decades. They need to be on 6 months and slowly dose down so the next person can jump on and get help. I'm sick of this, what I see as human being, the suboxone doctors are as bad as the dealers. CASH CASH CASH. There's a special place in hell for those people and I hope they go there because they are helping people die, just for cash.
Forgettabout' it! I'll do you a favor and save you at least 1&1/2 days which ='s wasting 36 hours calling dozens of doctors trying and hoping to find just even a single one who will accept even any kind of insurance (let alone yours). Not even any or even a one doctor will accept any medical insurance for suboxone treatment/ prescription and if you do find that one doctor in the NY tri-state area, please let me know. Legally/according to law, they away required and have to accept your insurance as payment, if they participate/accept your health insurance plan. BUT say suboxone/subutex/buprenorphrine & your done --- meaning no insurances are ever accepted for opiate maintenance programs. Dirty, sneaky, conniving manufacturers and doctors know exactly what your DYING 4 & can't live without - (suboxone/subutex 2 beg off the whicked heinious withdrawals) & hopefully, we've got what all of the Doctors demand. Cold Hard under the table, moohlah off the books!
