Soma Vs Dialudid (Top voted first)

I have fibromyalgia, endo, pelvic floor dysfunction, cysts forming around my spine, 36 fibroids removed, a hystorectomy but still have my ovaries. The fibro is in my lungs and also the endo. I've been on the highest dosage of gabapentin, 6 antidepressants, Xanax, trazodone, percocet, soma, meltaxlone, lidocaine shots and patches and dialudid 4 2x a day. I am 36, no children, have had a laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy, mayomectomy and hysterectomy. First 3 in 10 months. At a dr put me on Lupron and the menopause was horrible. I've tried prescription, opiates, narcotics, homeopathic, pelvic pain pilates n yoga. NOTHING RELIEVES MY PAIN AND I DO NOT LIKE THE MENTAL EFFECTS. I take Valium 20 mg a day 1200 gabapentin a day and 8 mg of dialudid when the aleve doesn't cut it but still no relief. My ovaries are now shutting down n my endocrine system is going full force producing estrogen. Breathing, walking, sitting, basic house chores, etc, is all painful 25 days out of the month. I'm loosing my mind. I'm dropping weight and drowning.

Hello, Lizanne! How are you? I'm sorry that you're so miserable.

Soma is a muscle relaxant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

Dilaudid, however, is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.


Have you tried any hormone replacement therapy? That could really help ease some of your symptoms.

Right now I am on unemployment and have government insurance. I was seeing a specialist whom managed all my complaints and worked with s team of doctors. With this insurance now it seems I am an enigma again. I live on Staten Island. When I began seeking help I utilized the facilities here and was misdiagnosied, told to have a one night stand stand and got severe nerve damage from a mayomectomy performed by a fertility dr out here. I went looking for a support group n that's how I found my specialist. But he nor anyone in his group accept this ins. I have begun natural oils n remedies. I went to emergency recently and they offered me ketamine. I slithered out. I am against narcotic pain meds. They do not help the pain nI don't like the feeling. I have been on tons, none are addicting to me, I become immune and dosages get increased which is y I stressesd that I try to Excercise. It's sad women's lives don't matter. I called an endocrinologist and explained my hormone issue and was turned away bc he was only treating thyroid issues. I don't need fertility dr nor do I want to see pregnant women. Estrogen is toxic to my body since I have adeomayosis and I've been on progesterone pills n patches, when I had a cervix. Thank u for the suggestion. I am aware of it all. Unlike many, I do not feel euphoria or enjoyment from narcotics. I look for relief and a quality of life, not a band-aid and a quick fix.
