could someone tell me if a person takes soma, can they overdose? my best friend im afraid is addicted and going to end up dead.

I am due to have back surgery monday today is thursday was told do not take any blood thinners 5 days before surgery. is aspirin in soma? can i contiue to take them?

Cindy- I have been taking approx 18-20 Somas per day. I am a 225 lb guy, but still way too much. How do I stop? If I tier down to 10, 6, 3,2,1,0 over 6-8 days is that ok.

No I would spread it out a little longer after all, Soma is addictive, By taking so many you can cause serious problems with your Liver

I am trying so hard to get off somas, but u can't sleep at night without them, I get no sleep, I want to quit but what do I do? I am hurting my 29 yr old daughter by continuing

@Depressed, don't take your whole bottle at once! While you know these drugs are powerful, the Benzos can really get you sick if you take a bunch or when you withdraw. Some people would think you are lucky that you have them!

I dont think its to easy to overdose on. well not for me anyway. I am prescribed 3 a day also 3 oxycodone 10 a day, 2 lyrica and also use fentanyl 25 every 48 hr. Then at night 2 benedryl, 10 mg melatonin and 2 sleeping pills. Ive never had any interactions or problems. I take a non lrescribed sleeping pill as I was on a prescribed one but it didnt work as well.

can someone please explain how long it takes soma to rid one's system??? if they took about 20 in the course of 3 days and go to doc in 15 days. will it be out of their system? no one seems to know

I used to take soma and overdosed numerous times. I have been taken from one hospital to another by helicopter. I was taking 240 per week. It is the most dangerous medication I have ever seen. I made it so I was banned it couldn't be prescribed to me every again. I did that on purpose, because I liked the high so much that I would not have been able to stop unless I asked my doctor to nab them. You have every right to be concerned about your friend. If I were you I would at least call your friend doctors office and tell them. You wouldn't be asking for info on your friend, which you must tell them you are not interested in that part. You just simply are calling to say something to save your friend life. If you don't your friend could die.

Thanks for sharing your post. I was recently prescribed this as I read it was a really good muscle relaxer because I have bad spasms in my neck. I only took it once helped a little bit. I knew it was addictive and only wanted it for some short-term relief. I know someone else who had taken it and said it worked very well . Most likely will not take it again. So sorry about your friend's wife. Was curious as to how many your wife's friend took that it ended up stopping her heart. Not trying to be nosy but did she have a pre-existing heart condition that this could have also contributed to . that sounds scary as I know somebody who takes this also but don't know how many he takes. He's not really old but on the elderly side 60 I think maybe a little older.

I hurt my neck. My grandchild was jumping o be. I didn't think any thing I bet it until the next morning and I had to continue to get worse through the day the next morning I couldn't move I went to the chiropractor and he gave me some somshe wouldn't of just me because my muscles were doing fine. I took one about every three hours and it just put me out. Now I went to my regular doctor and he gave me 40 somas. I am in excruciating pain and decided to take three not sure how many is too many bad I can't sleep I get comfortable and seriously I am considering ending it all because I can't stand that pain. I'm not really sure what to do at this point I don't have much part or help. How many is too many to take ahead At wh. How many is too many

I would ask your doctor. I was recently prescribed this and took 350 milligrams once. And actually made me really sleepy but at the same time I couldn't sleep but I do suffer from a lot of anxiety and have lots of trouble sleeping anyway. I ended up taking some Ambien about two hours after I took this Soma and was able to sleep for about 4 hours . Make sure you're very careful and don't take this with any other pain medicine before Consulting with your doctor. This stuff is strong and if you don't have tolerance to it I would not exceed 350 milligram dose. At the doctors recommended time intervals. And help with my lower back pain but not the spasms in my neck.

You said you took three is that mean you took three all at once if so I would not recommend that at all . At the doctors recommended time intervals. And help with my lower back pain but not the spasms in my neck. I can empathize with you about the pain and feeling it so bad that you just want to jump out of the window. If it's that bad call your doctor and get something else or go to the emergency room.

My mom died on February 13th she was taking some and other meds. I was wondering how many somas does it take for it to be fatal? Her autopsy report said she had 5.4mg of somas in her body, how many somas is that?

Yes u can overdose on somas and die... my mother did back in February the 13th of this year. It's a muscle relaxer and ur heart is a muscle and the somas she took stopped het heart.

I was prescribed 2 Soma @ bedtime 20 years ago to treat Fibromyalgia-related insomnia. It helped then and still helps me sleep. I've never taken more than 2, nor considered abusing it to get "high." Why would I? It puts me to sleep.

Yes it is an addiction. I have been battling this for 12 years now. I have cervical dystonia and am prescribed hydrocodone and soma. When I run out (and I always do), I am not able to function due to the pain. This is a circle that goes round and round. They need to legalize marijuana for medical treatment. Tracy
