Servicillin For Cats
UpdatedCan I give my cat servicillin as its all I have at home and no $ for vet and he has a terrible abscess that has burst. I've been cleaning the wounds with salt n other antiseptics and nothing works. Please help?

Oh my, please don't use salt, that will very painful for him. With a burst abscess, he does need an antibiotic.
And yes, you can give him Servicillin, as long as your veterinarian approves. The dosing is usually 5 to 10mg per pound of weight given 3 to 4 times a day.
Side effects in felines, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, skin rash and diarrhea.
