Pill Isnt Scored One Side Says I 8 On It Its A White Pill

I found this pill in my teenage sons draw putting
laundry away im very consered about this but
dont want to jump the gun if its an over the counter
drug etc please help i need to know what pill this is and what
its for and if its dangerous addicting etc

Well, if he's a teenager, please take under consideration why it may have been in his drawer. A friend may have dropped it, or he may have found it somewhere and not known what to do with it, or he may have thought if he came to you with it you might get angry and make accusations. Some parents do. So, please do give him the benefit of the doubt, rather than just freaking out.

This tablet contains 800mgs of Ibuprofen, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, the same ingredient that is in Advil or Motrin, but this is a prescription only dosage.

It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation.

It's not addictive, nor dangerous unless someone is allergic to it or has a medical condition prohibiting the use of NSAIDs.
