Metoprolol Succ Er 50 Mg Tasan (Top voted first)

I have been taking Metoprolol Succ ER 50 MG from Tasan for 2 years, and now CVS changed my prescription to Taeth. Is it true as CVS stated that Tasan has been discontinued? Has anyone changed from Tasan to Taeth?

TASAN simply stands for a Tablet manufactured by Sandoz pharmaceuitcals, TAETH means this tablet is manufactured by Ethex pharmaceuticals. I do not know if the other one has been discontinued, but they are the same medication.

CVS recently changed my 100mg dose of Metoprolol Succ TASAN to TAETH 50 mg x2 - with the same story as you got about TASAN supposedly discontinuing the 100 MG dose. To me it seems they're simply using up their supply so I get to take horse pills times two a day this month.. I mean really thanks CVS lol

I picked up my metoprol 50mg. At cvs. Mfr.par pharm. Been taking mylan for 15 yrs. They told me at my other pharmacy mylan stop making metoprol succer taking them for heart futters.the new ones don't work.as well.

I have been on Metoprolol 4 years without incident, after a heart attack in 2012. Slight very typical side effects is all. Until this week when I experienced chest pain, spiking blood pressure, constant headache and blurred vision. Hospitalized & evaluations came out fine. Blood pressure unusually spiking. Still felt headache, blurred vision though. Scheduled for more diagnostics. Upon review only one thing was different-New batch of pills from CVS. Decided to take pills from an older leftover bottle. Symptoms resolved overnight. 100% resolved. Hmmm. There were recalls on this drug back in 2014, apparently it failed dissolution evaluations. I am notifying my doctor, the hospital, CVS, and the FDA.
