I am diabetic. My doctor has prescrbed tablet MELMET 1000 SR to be taken twice a day before food. Please let me know how good is this tablet and are there any known side-effects to this tablet. my age 36 years.

All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, the NIH lists the typical ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, flatulence, and diarrhea.
There is no way to know how good it will be for you, until you actually try it. Have you started taking it, yet? How often do you check your blood sugar level? Are you on any other medications? Do you eat a lot of sweet or fatty foods?
