Low Blood Pressure And Rapid Heart Rate

I have had panic attacks for over 12 years now, however my heart has always had flutters. These flutters seem to be getting worse and making me almost pass out. My Dr put a 24 hour heart monitor and seen that my heart rate was fluttering and up and down. They say it showed no sign of heart disease but cannot explain why my blood pressure goes from 115/75 to 87/61 within secs of each other. When this happens I get very light headed and sick to my stomach. They have put me on metoprol but this has not resolved the issue. Could this all be from my stress and anxiety? And if my blood pressure is low why put me on this meds when it is for high blood pressure and just makes it lower?

My Med Dr has me on buspar Xanax, pristiq omeprazole along with the meyoprol. I go see the cardiologists in the morning. Not referred by my medical St but i had him to refer me one. I am hoping to find something out soon. Yesterday morning i had one of my worst episodes yet. Felt like my body had no energy when i got to work. Checked my blood pressure and it was 86/54 rate 63. My nails where purple looking. But after an hour i felt better. Today while setting at my desk i fell souls asleep. Checked BP and it was 86/52 rate 69. Each time i have a head ache after. If it is dehydration what can i do to get this up.
Hello, Jan! How are you?
What type of doctor have you been seeing for this?
If it's not a cardiologist, then I think you need to go see one.
If your blood pressure is dropping that low, that abruptly, it could also be the reason for the heart rate fluctuations. When your blood pressure drops low, your heart has to work a bit harder to pump properly, so it speeds up.
The Metoprolol can be used to help control heart rate, but likely isn't a good choice for you, since you're also experiencing the low blood pressure.
Stress and anxiety would normally make your blood pressure and heart rate both raise.
How much fluid do you take in each day?
And have they checked your blood pressure both sitting and standing? I'm wondering if you may be experiencing orthostatic hypertension, which can sometimes occur due to dehydration.
Do you take any other medications?
