Lamotrigiine Withdrawal.
UpdatedI have been on 400 mg. of lamotrigene for about 8 yrs for PTSD, I have had extensive therapy and they feel I no longer need them. I feel so great now I want to come off this horrific drug. I tried dropping 200 of the 400 mg. for a week and was pure pure hell. So now I am taking 150 in the morning and 150 at night. So thats a drop of 50 instead of the 200. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to cut this drug out of my life?

Stopping it too fast can also create a risk of seizures, according to the U.S. FDA, so a slow taper is best.
Other withdrawal effects may include nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, rebound depression, and rebound anxiety.
