Is There Side Effect

I have Type 2 diabetes and at the moment have been put on to a course of SERC to try and help with vertigo which i have had for 5 months.
When checking my blood sugar instead of a reading of about 7--- I am getting readings of 9.6. Is this caused by the SERC (betahistine).
Is this the reason for the high blood sugar readings

It is possible, some medications can elevate blood sugar levels. Have you had this checked out, yet?

It might not be the right medication for you, or the dosages of your diabetes medications may need to be adjusted to compensate.
