I applied my norspan patch (15 mcg) just above the pace maker that was implanted. Is it safe?
I'm on 50 micro norspan and only get 6 days max relief
My specialist has found splitting the dose to cover the gradual loss of strength to be very effective. It has changed my life for the better. For example - 20mcg would be split into 2 x 10mcg patches - the first patch put on Sunday evening for 7 days and the second patch put on half way through the week on Wednesday evening for 7 days and then continuing in this way.
It evens out the ups and downs and maintains a more stable dosage. It has been a godsend finding this solution to the loss of strength after day 5.
After 17 months of Norspan use I too concur regard tinnitus and its getting louder. BUT I have had "industrial deafness" for close enough to 30 years anyway and this constant screaming has been so much a part of my life I had all but accepted it.
I am finding that the patches are only lasting me 5 days and not 7 as designed. I cannot take pills due to the other meds I must take for the heart valve and diabetes. Its some balancing act trust me. I am tired of it and would dearly like to find a different way to control my arthritic pain. My Doc has prescribed 2 sizes of patches and we are about to try 20ug first and a 5ug some 3 or 4 days later in an attempt to cover the time period.. If somehow the time the medication is dispensed could be 'stretched' I wouldnt have to use so much surely? Can anybody offer a better solution please?
