Ic Gabapentin 300 Mg Bladder Side Effects (Page 5) (Top voted first)

I take 100 ic gabapentin 3 times/day for sciatica. Now I find that my bladder leaks about once a week which is unnerving. Has this been reported as a side effect?

I agree. Bladder problem is definitely related along with other problems that drug stores don't admit to. Try to get help, HA!!

I take gabapentin 1200mg daily. Last night I woke up and I was wet I was so upset I went on to check side effects and this eas.one of them I am so upset but glad to know that I am not alone .

Yes it has been noted as a side effect I take 300 2x daily then 600mg at bedtime and since I took the 600 at bed time I wet the bed right through everything I don't even feel it happening I am so very upset by it I told my doc and he said it would pass I am now afraid to fall asleep incase it happens again. I took my first pill last night and must of peed myself three times / had to get up and clean myself and change linen and put on a adult diaper only to wake up with a wet diaper /

Hmmm I take 400mg 3xaday having bladder probs even been checked for uti nope...well urine leaks very cloudy very pungent sweet smell..gotta pee n then a few drops maybe peeing 1/2 cup a day doc said drink more water..I have fibromylagia n poss ms..a lot of bowel probs..stomach issues .so idk hope answers found soon drive ing me insane.players

I haven't had such a problem and I am on up to 3,000 mgs a day. I use it with zakafillan for my severe leg pain caused by M'S.
I was on a much lower dose at 600 mgs a day when on Lyrica which purportedly is the same chemical compound, but now I am with the VA and cheap is best!
I am relatively lucky with the side effects and the occasional double vision when reading is not because of the drugs, but due to the MS because my left eye will not move from center left.

I started taking Neurontin ( 300mg capsules 3x a day for back pain in Sept 2016. My Dr increased it to 4 a day & now I've noticed craving salt & my appetite has really increased. I DO NOT want to gain weight. It had helped with back pain but it ain't worth gaining a ton of weight. I kept wondering why I suddenly was hungry more & now I know. He is going to have to change this med or I'll just stop taking it all together. Don't want to weigh a ton !! ..thank you.

I've just had my dosage of gabapentin increased about 3 weeks ago with very little side effects.
About 6 days ago I've started peeing constantly I'm sooner off the loo then straight back there again & wondered if this is happening to anyone else, it day & night .
It's not a infection as there's no burning or stinging.

Im 30 years old and am on the neurontin. 600mg at night. The bladder issue has also occurred. Often i find i dont make it in time, or just in the nick of time. This is a side effect most definately. But i also find that i often have problems releasing. .. when this happens i use cranberry pills found at ur local pharmacy. These help release n ease the symptoms.

OK I have been taking 400 mg 4x a day for almost 8 months alot of urine n accident s happening ..I gained from 160 to 215 I'm devastated talked to primary and she put me on victoza to help lose weight there shots in my belly hubby gives to me helps w diabetes to....I'll let ya know soon...

I had 3 back surgeries within 6 weeks. The last surgery was a four-level fusion L-3 through S1. I have nerve pain and numbness left leg outer shin all of the top of foot and toes. My left leg is weak and suffers loss of Mobility. The Gabapentin helps with the electrical nerve pain but I am now experiencing urinary incontinence not able to empty bladder completely can't sleep which is causing depression. I would like to know if there is an alternative to Gabapentin for the electrical nerve pain as Gabapentin provides relief but the urinary incontinence and the lack of sleep is disrupting my life.It appears the urinary incontinence is a side effect that should be listed and is not. I hope it is does not cause permanent incontinence as I am expected to take this drug for multiple years.

My visits to washrooms increased after taking Gaba pentine 300x300.Fromm today i will try to taper this medicine and let you know the out come.i also feeling burning sensation in my stomach.

I was takin to hospital Dr over victoza shots it stopped my complete digestion system n backed up so far caused severe pain in kidney....N could nearly talk or walk didn't loose a PD....And cause me to dehydrated...Please b careful I stopped the shots...

I hope so. Dr had me on 900mg daily and I am almost disabled now. Stopped taking it 2 weeks ago found out I never needed it. I have lost about 80 of bladder control and joi take and muscles so painful I can barely walk. All I needed from new doctor was silicone shots in knee - I had that before where I used to stay and it helped a lot. New doctor said no this stuff will fix it. 300mg once daily for week then 300mg twice daily for week and then 300mg three times daily. Even my mind was affected - my memory too. I would have hallucinations too and when I told him about bladder, and pain and all stuff going on, all he said was keep taking it. After 2 months I lost job, medical, apartment I moved in with friends and started taking myself off it gradually. It's 2 weeks now and now more hallucinations and memory and brain clear. But body - hope it will heal enough that I can get job and medical again.

I also have a hard time taking a leak. I Am on 900 mg a day. And It takes me forever to pee.

Yes it will happen every so often. You may find it hard to pee also. But that is just part of taking this drug. You Will have to live with it or stop taking it.
