How Long Before Testopel Pellets Start Working? (Page 35) (Top voted first)

Just had Testopel pellets inserted in my backside. Forgot to ask doctor how long until they take effect. He's out of town.

Just got implanted 10 days ago. T level was at 226. How much of an increase could I expect to see, and has anyone else had this low of a starting level anyhow much time will it take to see a difference. So far after 10 days I've not noticed anything at all except that the incision doesn't hurt anymore. Btw I am only 36. The Dr. told me he had no data for anyone my age as most of his patients are 20+ years older than me. Previously I tried testim and that only brought up the levels from 136. I was also on the IV's but had allergic reactions and had to stop those.

Hi. Iam from Australia. My T is around 115. Four days ago had 3 pellets inserted just below rib cage. 200mg each pellet. You guys talk about getting 10 , 12 ,8. This seems a lot. After four days , don't feel any diff. I guess every one not the same. My age is 67

Check again, there is no way your FREE Testosterone can be 1200! Sorry, I'm a lab tech and also schooled in BHRT. Recheck your labs, that sounds like a total T value...

I had 9 pellets inserted today. My physician does not do more than 9. My T level was a 79 my estrodial was a 38. I am a 25 year old male 302 lbs 5'11". I am hoping for results.

I don't use them anymore. I had a heart attack back in July at the age of 45. I blame the Testosterone Therapy on it.

Ginger you're so right about exercise and thus blood flow. Because I exercise a lot my urologist didn't say anything about this. But I've known for years that squats bench presses etc will improve testosterone levels. Since getting my 14 testopel every three months, I've really hit the weights and my T has skyrocketed. I think it crazy to get T treatments and then sit around on a sore behind waiting for something to happen one day. You got to get the blood moving in lower body and especially in around implants. Also a number of men say "they're sitting on their implants"? Mine are in the fatty part of my upper buttocks. There is no way I can contort to sit on them. Sitting on them? Last week got a massage. He finished using a big vibrator on my back side. What I experienced afterwards was a tremedous T high like I'd just had new implants. I THINK the vibration got blood moving even more for the pellet to do what they're designed to do.

Brian -- The activity with your son would or could be strenuous, but after that length of time, it indeed seems strange. I hope you contacted Doc about it when it happened, as then he would be more likely to give you an injection every other week to supplement what pellets you have remaining. Still, the insurance company may "resist" if asked to pay for the supplement. I'm not sure. As always, most likely will depend on the individual insurance company. Another thing that I do regularly is to take ZINC supplements twice a day OTC. After some research and also seeing it on the board here, other guys with 'problems' had taken the ZINC. I'm not sure if it helps, but my Doc said it would do no harm. I have but one testicle as had one removed in 2000, because of an out of control prostate infection that ended up "eating through" the testicle. I was in so much pain and though Doc said he knew I wouldn't WANT to do that procedure, it ended up as me having no choice because I was becoming debilitated with the pain. I don't know how old you are, Brian, but I'm closing in on 70 and have BPH, also. Some (not all) men have found that being prescribed the DAILY Cialis helps with the getting up and going to the bathroom several times a night. My Doc suggested trying that and it most certainly reduced that activity, plus the added benefit that Cialis gives a guy in the bedroom. Some things for you to think about, but depending on your age and other factors to be discussed with your Doc, there might be some help for you in some of the things I've mentioned. Sorry to have "dragged on", but I feel a kindred spirit with guys going through these things and it always helps me when I read of someone who offers THEIR experiences and thoughts. Hope it helps. That answer is correct, they will start to work immediately and usually last between 4 to 6 months. Testopel is a Testosterone replacement therapy.

Some side effects may include: erectile problems, hirsutism, headache and anxiety.

I have been on Testopel for over a year now and it seems to work well. I have never tried any other form of HRT so I have nothing to compare it to. I never have had any issues with the insertion area other bruising and soreness which usually goes away within a week. After this last treatment I have started doing blood tests every two weeks to monitor my levels more closely to get an accurate reading of how the pellets are working. In the past, I woudl get the refill and then not do bllow work until 3-4 months later to see if I was due. Two weeks after the last refill I was only at 593 but prior to the refill I was down in the low 200's. Just did blood work last week to see where I am at now.

Just had pellets yesterday. Feel nothing yet.
Everyone has the same bouts about wanting to perform at the moment.
BTW, I'm attracted to GUYS. Makes no difference!

My T was 184, basically in the toilet. My doctor gave me all the options, cream and or shots and Testopel. He advised Testopel and I said, give me the pellets! Was sore for a week and a half, felt like someone hit me in the butt with a baseball bat. About 3 weeks BAM i was feeling l like a teenager. Energy through the roof, wife said i had become a little smart ass too. Had my levels tested at 1 month... 650! This was with 12 pellets. Towards the very end of my 4th month cycle i could really tell the numbers were down. Had them tested right before the second procedure and it was around 230. Round two we rolled with 14 Pellets and I Didn't experience the big crash. Just had my 3rd round last week moving my placement a little higher in the hip region, simply because i don't have much butt fat. I'm 50 work out on a regular basis. Doc says levels usually level out around the 4th procedure reducing the valley effect, we'll see. I don't whine over the soreness like a lot of "men" a very small price to pay (IMO) not to have to remember to rub something on me every day (which by the way absorption rates are different for everyone) and run to and fro for a shot. So far so good for me.

Things are starting to make sense why I have extremely low T. I've spent over 3 years (not consecutively) in Iraq and Afghanistan. All I drank for those 3 years was bottled water & half the time it had been sitting out in the sun. Iraq can get into the 130's in the Summertime. Plastic bottles & hot sun I guess leaches Xenoestrogens into the water we have been supplied as Soldiers. Now my T level off therapy is way too low. My worst count was 130 something.

My attemp to laugh away the pain

I went to see the doctor
He said my testosterone was low
Said he had a quick procedure
And in a minute I could go

He showed a 9 penny nail
Showed where it'd go in my cheek
I wanted to say go to hell
But decided not to speak

Lets get on with this I said
Before I change my mind
Take that 9 penny by the head
And shove it in my behind

Then he gave a couple pokes
Just to numb the pain
Wish I hadn't drank them cokes
I just might make a stain

Here I am 2 days later
Still cant quite sit down
I hate to be a hater
But my dr may benot a clown

I went online just to see
If it should hurt this much
See if others were as sore as me
Did they need to use a crutch!

I really hope this does the trick
And I feel better real fast
Otherwise I will tell the prick
That first time will be my last!

It's been about a month for me with 12 pellets. Butt just stopped hurting but butt has like little lumps almost like cellulitis.
My biggest feeling change has been my nipples are hard, erect and tender! I am also having trouble with my libido. Anybody else experience anything like this? I would like the libido to there when intimate. I hope that will come.

Ginger, I am not sure why you say that only 6 pellets are covered and FDA approved. My doctor is one of the leading experts on HRT, has written many extensive papers on the subject, speaks regularly about it at conferences and has been published in many medical journals on his research of the subject. I sent him an email asking about this and he stated that this was incorrect. I routinely get 12- 14 pellets when I get my refill and have not experienced any of the side effects you have highlighted. I have to agree with David in that I do not think you should be on here "hawking" your product. That is not what this forum is for.

The first turn off for me is when people start railing on other products to boost theirs up. If your product has any credibility it will be able to stand up on its own by you just stating its pros and cons. It sounds too much like a politicians speech (or an informercial) when you have to point out what is wrong with the other product just to make yours sound better. moving on.....

14 pellets is quite a large dose. I have 10 and doc said that is not always done. Usual dose, I believe is between 3-6. If th erections are occurring, I, too, would think this is a good sign. Natural to have the mood swings and the puberty comparison seems natural one to me.
