Glycomet 500 Enquiry

Is Glycomet 500 SR tablets safe during pregnancy?
My wife is taking glycomet 500 SR two tablets daily. She just got pregnant. Let me know if she can continue with the Glycomet 500 SR tablet. Does it have any side effect?

Yes, it can be taken during pregnancy, if her doctor deems it appropriate for her to continue taking it. Some doctors, however, prefer to switch a pregnant woman to insulin for better control of diabetes.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea and low blood sugar.
