Gelmicin Cream - Helps Heal Diabetic Ulsers

My husband used Gelmicin cream that we picked up from Mexico on a diabetic ulser he had on his toe for over a year that was cracking and taking a long time to heal but not infected. He used the Gelmicin cream on it and after 3 days it is healing fantastic, almost gone actually. I am looking for this cream in Alberta and so far no luck!!! I guess it will be a great reason to return to Mexico!! Just thought I would share with anyone who suffers from diabetes issues.

I did a quick search and found Gelmicin is a cream made up of 3 different ingredients. Clotrimazole 1%, an antifungal; Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.05%, a topical steroid to reduce inflammation; and Gentamicin Sulfate 0.1%, an anitbiotic for bacterial infection.
The closest equivalent in the US is LOTRISONE (clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate) cream, 1%/0.05%, which contains a combination of clotrimazole, an azole antifungal, and betamethasone dipropionate, a corticosteroid, for topical use. It does require a prescription though.
