Hello, Maria! How are you?

First of all, you should be aware that this medication must be taken consistently, every day, in order to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to control your blood pressure. You can't skip days or just take it, when you feel you need it.

As to the drop, no, it would be best to continue taking it as directed by your doctor and not to lower it, unless they specifically instruct you to do so.

There is no actual cure for high blood pressure, it can only be controlled via medications, exercise and diet. Letting your blood pressure go to high could result in severe health issues, such as stroke, congestive heart failure or heart attack, which may be fatal.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Is there anything else I can help with?
