Find A Doctor In My Area Who Will Prescribe Xanax In M&pa (Top voted first)
UpdatedI was prescribed this before, and it worked great, I'm trying to find a doctor who can do the again
A medical Dr?? Do you mean a Psychiatrist??? It is hard to find anyone who understands the Xanax. That people are suffering and really need it!! And are not Dr shopping. Or a dope head wanting to feel high. Not someone who goes into a severe panic attack and about dies!! Because there are so many dope heads on the street it makes it hard to get the medicine when a person is truly sick!! And us that are truly sick know what the other is going through!! Thank you.
A medical Doctor is your best bet for medicine
Need help finding a doctor in Jackson, Ms area to prescribe Xanax and Norco. My doctor stopped prescribing mine and She has been my doctor for 17years! I have never asked for a refill early in all these years! I have degenerative disc disease, neuropothy in both feet ,and have heart and high blood pressure! Have had two spinal surgeries and have titanium plates and screws in my neck and lower lumbar, which was not successful! Am 65 yrs old a widow and live alone! Unable to grocery shop or stand for over 15 minutes! Am 80% bed reddin! Am in chronic pain!
I am so tired of everybody blaming the patients for doctors not wanting to prescribe things. Yes, I agree that many of these people are addicted, but let's consider who typically got them addicted. When I was diagnosed with pancreatitis due to my drinking in my 20's and early 30's, my doctor put me on OxyContin. I was hesitant about him upping my dosage regularly, but he said if I take it as prescribed, I wouldn't become addicted. Well, he was wrong. Now, I know my doctor's intentions were good. He wasn't a legal drug dealer. He was just unaware of how addiction works. Medical doctor's are not addictionologists, if that's the right word? My point is my doctor knew that I had pancreatitis due to drinking, so it should have been obvious that I had addiction potential.Unfortunately, many doctor's prescribe the medication and as soon as they think the patient may have a dependency on the medication, the cut them off. Having said that, the patient or now addict is not the only one responsible for their predicament.
You do not need the xanax. And you are talking to someone that took it for 10 years. You are just going in to withdrawal symptoms. Have a Dr. Prescribe some clonzapam strong enough to get you off of the nasty xanax. Be strong. You can do it if i could.
Yes I mean a Psychiatrist! I have only seen psychiatrist in the 10 to 15 years I was taking xanax! I know what I am talking about. Because my Dr. was out for almost a year. He cannot give out anymore pain medications when he comes back. In the meantime the new Dr I had to see ( No Choice changed me to clonzapam). I am not going to say it wasn't difficult. But if I can get off xanax so can you all get off of it. It is a nasty strong drug that you do not want to be on!! You would be amazed at how much better one feels off of xanax! Find a Dr. who will prescribe a strong dosage of the clonzapam to wean you off of the xanax. Don't just ry to go off cold turkey. It will not work. The clonzapam keeps your severe panic attacks down low enough you can handle them until you are completely weaned off of the xanax. I suffered severe panic attacks for well over 10 years. Probably 15 years. I am now off of xanax and on clonzapam. You will probably need a muscle relaxant also to help when your muscled get tight from getting off of the xanxa. I am only trying to help! It was not my choice to get off of xanax. I was forced to do it. But now that I am off I feel 100% better! PLEASE try it !!!
Mary, I was truly sick. I was in an accident that smashed my right shoulder. That was operated on 5 times! And my left foot was completely broke off of the leg. It was put back together with long bolts and screws! So believe me I do know what I am talking about! I had very severe panic attacks and fibromyalgia which I still have from this accident and all of the surgery's. I am no dope head. And I was not getting xanax illegally or Dr. shopping for any medications. All of my medications were prescribed by Psychiatrists. I have quite a few health problems and suffered very severe panic attacks. I am just trying to be helpful. I was just like NO! I cannot EVER get off of xanax. I even talked to Steven Tyler of aerosmith and he told me he had to go to rehab 4 times to get off xanax. He said it was harder to get off of than opiates. I told the new Dr what he said. And he said that was true! But Thank--God I was able to get off on the xanax and now am taking Clonazepam under a Psychiatrist! I know everyone is afraid they cannot get off of xanax when they have been on it a long time! But believe me if I could so can anyone else. And you will be better off. I know you don't think so! But it is true. I feel 100% better. Good luck to all of you on xanax!
I hope you can find a psychiatrist to help you get the xanax. You should ask him or her about clonzePAM. Ir is not as nasty a drug as xanax. I know. I took xanax for over 10 years and am off of it now! Feel much better! Most family Dr's won't prescribe xanax. Good luck!
Thanks for the info i want off these nasty Xanax. So you think clopine will work i am just scared that they won't and i can't handle being sick
g,
I agree with some of what you proffered but did you make your alcoholism abundantly clear to your doctors at the time of treatment? I do agree that there is enough blame to go around for all parties concerned.
If anyone familiar with " addictionologist " most will agree it's a pseudo specialty made up of once troubled prescribers now suffering from a god complex and actually justify withdrawing legit. Medications for the sole purpose they contain a risk or degree of habituation. I'm sorry that's no way to practice medicine. Judicious
prescribing by competent skilled professionals are more then capable of deciphering a risk to benefit ratio that we are taught demands diligent consideration but certainly within the parameters of most prescribers. Addictionologists are a stain on the field of medicine.I remain, respectfully
KSK.
Hi Notallbad, what we have to keep in mind is that a lot of people end up becoming addicted to many of these medications. Many people are initially prescribed these meds due to legitimate reasons. I don't really like the word "Dopehead", but IMO, True "Dope heads" don't go to doctors to get scripts for meds. They go straight to the street corner. They are also very skilled at finding a street dealer. I was reading an article in AARP, and it said of the population that have high incidences of addiction/dependencies to these drugs are the geriatrics population. They also stated that many of them are on a fixed income and wind up selling their meds to supplement their income. A lot of are in the same boat because addiction does not discriminate. Whether a person gets a legal script, and another person buys it off the streets it doesn't matter because we all have the same demons.
Re: tonya (# 1)
Tammi and Tonya. The only way you are going to get a prescription is either you already have one and medical records. If you don’t have either one then you need to find a primary doctor who will refer you to a psychiatrist who can then prescribe you medication..Its not like it was a few years ago to where you can walk into any doctors office and ask for benzos
I'm in Dickson TN and in need of Xanax for severe panic attacks. Can anyone help me find a doctor?
Yes I was seeing a psychiatrist Mary. That is the only type of Dr I have ever seen for xanax! Se my other post about getting off of xanax!
Yes Mary, Dope Heads make it hard to find a Psychiatrist! You are correct. Most of the Dr.s who handle anxiety and panic attacks are getting out of that type of business. And are not going to treat people with anxiety or panic attacks. And it's not fair because many of us are truly sick. But the Dr's are tired of being harassed. That is what the FDA told me where I live. It's a shame the Dr's are in this position due to dope heads and Dr. shopping. But the situation with the Dr's is what it is! There is not much we can do about that.
Mary
Your outrage at DOPEHEADS makes one wonder what insecuries your attempting to refocus on some who has a true illness such as genetic predisposition for addiction similar to your disposition to feel anxious. Cast not the first stone, and try to remember there for the grace of God go I!!!!!!!
PS btw the next prescriber just may be a recovering DOPEHEAD who has given you the greatest gift, A CHANCE AT A LIFE without the aide of powerful addictive benzo agent.there are alternatives available at least competent prescribers should entertain that option BEFORE continuing that course of treatment. JUST SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
We are not all bad
Wow, you talked to Steven Tyler of Aerosmith! You must know what you're talking about!
Going from Xanax to Klonopin is like switching from Pancakes to Waffles
Hi Sunshine today, it's OK. Thanks for sharing because I am sure their are alot of people who wants to eventually break the cycle. Sharing your journey and success can serve to inspire those who want to get off.
