non steroid arthritis medicine in India

I had my toes and around it tight and llikebusting and burning inboth my feet doctors said it was diabetic related. Pl tell me if etoshine is the right thing prescribed fro my problem of numbness, feeling like it is swollen inside and toes burning sensation.

Hi, My brother just went to dubai, 2 weeks bck, because of the cold weather he got the sweeling and pain in the knee, 2 years back he was taking Etoshine tablets for 10 days and th epain was relieved. Whenever the pain comes he used to take that medicine for 4 days. now he didnt take that medicine from India. What he can do there to ease pain? Please suggest.

if swelling is around your eyes i wl advice u to meet docter.this might be due to the some effect on kidney.etoshine rarely involved in renal side effects but actual rsn could be something diffrent.

Traditional NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen or diclofenac, block the action of both COX-1 and COX-2, and this is why they can sometimes cause side effects such as stomach irritation and peptic ulcers. Etoricoxib belongs to a new generation of NSAIDs that selectively block the action of COX-2. This means that it stops the production of inflammatory prostaglandins, without stopping the production of prostaglandins that protect the stomach and intestines. It therefore reduces pain and inflammation, but is less likely than traditional NSAIDs to cause side effects on the stomach and intestines (although such side effects are still possible).

I have taken etoshine 120 for ten days as I was suffering from heel pain. The pain was receding. But I felt irritation in my stomach and ulcers on my mouth. Is it the effct of the above medicine. Now the doctor prescribed etoshne 90. Shall I continue with the medicine.

I am suffering from acute pain and stiffness in both knee
and also in shoulders due to aarthritis.I have been prescribed ETOSHINE 120mg tab to be taken once a day. will it reduse my pain and is it any side effects to do? My age is 34.

Etoshine contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib.

This is a type of medicine known as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs work by blocking the action of a substance in the body called cyclo-oxygenase. Cyclo-oxygenase is involved in producing prostaglandins, in response to injury or certain diseases. These prostaglandins cause pain, swelling and inflammation. Because NSAIDs block the production of these prostaglandins, they are effective at relieving pain and inflammation. Cyclo-oxygenase does not only produce prostaglandins that cause inflammation. It also produces prostaglandins that have useful roles in the body. There are two different forms of cyclo-oxygenase, COX-1 and COX-2. COX-2 is the form that (among other things) produces prostaglandins that cause inflammation. COX-1 does not produce inflammatory prostaglandins, but does produce others that have useful effects, including some that are involved in maintaining a healthy stomach and intestinal lining. Traditional NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen or diclofenac, block the action of both COX-1 and COX-2, and this is why they can sometimes cause side effects such as stomach irritation and peptic ulcers. Etoricoxib belongs to a new generation of NSAIDs that selectively block the action of COX-2.
