Switch over to marijuana ,it will help u from getting out of anxiety...marijuana smoking is competitively more favourable than this cough syrup..but the most important thing in quitting cough Cyrus is ur will & self control..without this u can’t quit how much u try...so believe in urself and switch to baba ki booty..bholenath will surely help u..

try switching to marijuana...it will feel u good and after that u don’t fee urge to take phensydl..though the most important thing is ur will power.believe in yourself then only u can able to leave phensydl

Willy, surely your problem is not Phensedyl but an addictive personality? I also tried Phensedyl in the early 80's and I never got hooked?

You intend starting alcohol intake after some time ! I am puzzled ! You went through all the laborious procedure by your permutations and combinations to get better. Mind you, starting with alcohol again is like playing with fire .but why do you want to start with alcohol which is a bigger evil than any thing else ? (Leaving psychotropic drugs aside ) if one intends to leave alcohol then it has to be 0 quantity.peoplewho intend giving up alcohol never say ' "I will lessen the intake and leave step by step .there is nothing like tapering down when it comes to giving up alcohol . It is once for all you decide to say 'no' . In such cases it is those who have the strength to say 'no' emerge as winners . Losers connotation say 'no' They don't have the discipline to set the limits . Do take good care of yourself . You are important .

December 1978 I matriculated, until then I only smoked. I was told by a good friend about Phensedyl. And tried it the same day with my best mate, so we bought a bottle - those days it cost a mere R1,80 for 150ml - today it costs R42 to R 55 for 100ml. In fact it's the only cause of misery and what I blame for me having no pension, no job, no property and no prospects in my senior years. I have very little (without my loved ones). I'd have nothing. I've tired Methadone which worked very well but the side effects scared me, and it's very expensive and very difficult to quit, so I'll more then likely die an addict.

Any cough syrup containing 10mg of codeine will effect the same as phensydyl, corex, rexcof, rc, choco, skuff, etc etc..guys trust me i have been using this since 10 years. i started with 1 half bottle daily and now minimum 3 i need everyday, and after that i need cigs minimum 3pks, and coffee, i used to feel like this is best drug nobody even get to know that u did something it made me feel like im unique and have a different class other than normal people drinking alcohol u need to have financially sound enough to do this, but now i have realized that i f***ed my life up i wasted my life, my health and lots of money in this and even after realizing this im still not being able to be without it, i cant smoke one cig without it, my veins are so much addicted to it that if i dont drink it i start shaking my body start shaking it made my heart weak very weak, i panic all rhe time, i do sweat in air-conditioned room, guys i suggest u to do not get addicted to it, stop it even if u started consuming it, or else it will f*** ur life, ur money, ur self respect, ur will, everything.

I WAS TAKING phensedyl syrup FROM LAST 12 YEARS EVERY DAY 5 BOTTLES OR MORE . I TRIED EVERY THING TO STOP IT WENT TO REHAB TRYIED TO DRINK ALCHOL TO LEAVE IT ALMOST EVERY THING I DID TO QUIT THIS HABIT. BUT FAILED.
ONE DAY I TOOK 6 BOTTLES WITH HAVING ANY FOOD BY NIGHT I VOIMTED & BLOOD CAME IN VOMIT.
I RUSHED TO DOCTOR & DID FULL CHECK UP AT THE TIME OF SCAN IT WAS FOUND THAT THERE WAS A 2 KG TUMER BALL
BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO TAKE phensedyl THEY DO NOT PASS MOTION EASILY THEN I DID STOOL SO DOC TOLD THE WHOLE FROM WERE MOTION COMES OUT IS FULLY DAMGED INFECTED BY CANCER.
The cost of both opreation will be 35 lacks & worst part was my back whoel will be blocked & in futhure motion will come out from chest .
Due to 2kg tumer we have to seal your mouth & i have to live life long in liquied dite .

Doctor told after spending so much of money taking somuch pain the life left is hardly 6months to 1year after a year again we have to opreate.
The doctor told my mother that any how your son is not going to listen then y spend so much of money & pain it is better let him die.
When I came home next day i did not take phensedyl & from that day i have not tasted but onec i took 1/2 bottle & faced hard chest pain so due to fear i have not touched it even if some one gives me free or give me million of RS .

From last 5 years I am fine without any problem

hey bro I can understand ur situation I m using codiene syrup since 10 years like phensy, corex, Rexcof, rc, tossex, codistar, rc cuff etc I have been taking any 10mg codiene syrups since 10 3pkts cigarette normally I know how my body my veins addicted to it instead of bloood I have running syrups through my veins.if u dont takr it u will feel peaky,drowsiness, sleepy, loose motions headache, etc if u wanna quit u dont try to quit atonce only take one bottle for 2days an then slowly leave it sleep more keep urself busy be with ur wife and boy spend more time with them may godd bless u :-)

I hope my experience with Phensedyl may be of some help to someone. I started taking "Phensy" while I was an Engineering student. In addition, I was also regularly drinking rum and other alcoholic drinks and also occasionally smoking ganja etc. I was on the point of addiction and was helpless to come out of it. These drugs and drinks gave me a "peace" and an "escape route" from all the problems in my life. However, I was killing myself slowly. Now you must forgive me for what I am going to write next, especially if your religious sensitivities are hurt. One day someone told me that if I believe in Jesus, all my addictions will go away. But I did not want to become a Christian or stop all the "enjoyment" that I was getting from an immoral way of life. Jesus was a good guy who taught us to live a good life. But I was a bad guy and did not want to become good. However, I soon realised that if I did not come out of this lifestyle, I was certainly going to die! Then I got hold of a Bible and started reading it... at first I did not understand anything. Then a friend, who was a Christian, explained a few things to me and gradually I understood that if I ask Jesus He has the power to save me and deliver me from all my addictions. But to be very honest, I was scared of becoming a good guy, and to stop my drinking and drug abuses. So I continued to live that way, but each day life became more and more difficult. Instead of the "enjoyment", my addictions became a "pain." And I was sure that I was going to die. Somehow, inside my heart I knew that Jesus was waiting for me and my time was limited... so one day I felt I should get down on my knees and asked Jesus to forgive me my sins and to come into my heart. I don't even know how I prayed that -- I was alone in my hostel room. You will never believe what happened next, suddenly, a great peace enveloped my whole body and mind. I felt something change inside me... but nothing physically. Now I know it is called the "born again" experience, when Jesus comes into the life of an addict and changes him inside out. At that instant, the desire to do drugs or to drink left me completely. What I was helpless to do on my own, God was able to do. I knew I could never get out of it on my own strength. So I would request my brothers out there who are still addicts to please consider what I am saying. My point is not to make a religious lecture but to humbly point out how I came out of my addictions. I believe we need to fill our hearts with "something greater" for us to come out of our addictions, and there is nothing greater than God. So please ask Jesus to help you, I can guarantee 100% that God will listen to you. But you have to have the desire to become "clean" and "good" in all areas of your life... otherwise what is the point of getting out of one addiction to get into another? Every day when you wake up and every night before you go to bed, just say this prayer, "Lord Jesus, please help me come out of my addictions and become a changed person". If you seriously mean it and say this you can expect a miracle soon! (I do not want to say "in 21 days" etc. and mislead you, but if you are serious, it is a guarantee.) I quit "Phensy" and all alcohol, tobacco, ganja in 1990 and this is 2013... 23 years of living in freedom, as a servant of Jesus.

for prevent Phensedyl addiction, when u fell some one is take it. then give him lemon+salt, lemon choclet, lemon juice etc
, remember no sweet for Phensedyl addicted.

Friends Let Me Help U as i was addicted to this and i Quit Two times.....

1- Leave the addicted friend Circle (Imp. if do not have strong willpower)

2- As mentioned by one of the friend in this forum is to reduce the dose to half of what you r taking for 7 days

3- Then again reduce the dose to half of the half dose
for next 10 days for e.g. If you are taking 1 bottle per day then take 1/2 bottle for 7 days and after 7 days take quarter bottle for next 10 days then use liquor

and friends believe me it is the U who can leave this habit no other will help you....

in order to quit it bro.....u must start by sleeping two days mainly in the daytime.....when u dont take phensydyl,ull feel too sleepy n tired n ull b having loose motion....but the most effective medicine to treat phensydyl addicts r sleeping..........once ull sleep for two days ull be able to quit it.......cos dis is my experience....i had been an addict on phensydyl for 7 years...tc......

please help me out my husband is phensedyl addicted and also vaso grain,i took him to doctor and treatment everything has been over,but now again he started,if i ask him he ll tell dat,he is not drinking that,i can make out that he is drinking,he ll avoid me,he will not come to me,always drinking water,sleepy,no activeness any thing......i know him since 8 years before he was not like this,please help me out,if i tell him we ll go to doctor,he wont come,so what to do?
