Doctors Who Prescribe Oxycodone In Long Island (Page 2) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI had a dr who was prescribing me 150 30mg roxycodone every month. He decided the past month that he no longer is writing them and is only writing subs. I cannot find a dr who will write me my script. Can anyone suggest anyone?
So sad to read all the suffering .. This is what can almost cause us chronic pain ppl to become criminals.. It took me 3 yrs to finally get awesome pm Dr that listens n he asks his patients "what works for you"?

The laws changed the doctor can't do it anymore. Also those who take such medications on a daily basis are addicts too. They may have a legitimate reason for it but your still an addict, it not like you can just stop one day. Be careful, if you really taking it just for pain please see a local pain management doctor (those are the only doctors that can perscibe this month after month). They have many other options that will eliminate your pain completely and not have to rely on taking pills daily.
why even post such a pointless and worthless comment? i mean honestly. everyone here is either seeking and or helping people with legitimate pain issues who suffer chronically and a lot of the time- if they're real- severely. so you're right stopping opiates after taking them for a certain period will cause you to withdrawal but in no way makes a person an addict..... we know local pain management clinics exist, so yea... thanks for that advice.... we're all seeking a doctor(s) who will write scripts to provide relief for severe pain sufferers, like myself, while also providing alternatives and trying to resolve or reduce the pain in other ways. but with the new laws, as you stated, it is nearly impossible for someone in this or really most of the 50 states, to get a legitimate prescription for opiate pain killers. I have provided a few doctors who will do this for true sufferers on this forum along with many others on this site, to try and am myself trying to save up the half of a grand it will cost me to get some legitimate pain relief from a pain management doctor who actually WANTS TO DO HIS DAMNN JOB- and due to my current physical and medical state, i am unable to work, so saving the $500 EXTRA is not easy. so please people, IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE WORTHLESS, DON'T BE AT ALL. THANK YOUU
hi there I read your review on medchat. I am a real [erson dealing with serious spinal injuries I was in sveral car accidents one of which came very close to taking my life. I have been on oxycodone 30 mg for the past 2 yrs my previous doctor had just decided to stop writing and completely left me up the creek. I cannot find a doctor who will write me for my prescriptions I can't work and am barely able to do any physical activities without my medications if you know of any doctor in the NJ, NY, or PA area it would be greatly appreciated if you could refer me to them. I am so tired of going to doctors and them taking my money and then turn around and say they can't prescribe me my medications. My life has been a complete nightmare since my doctor had stopped.
hey PAINISMYNAME, i was wondering if you could forward on those drs names. i saw your post but your email was edited out for privacy. I broke my L4 vertebra which had led to the complete deterioration of the disc between L4 and L3 as well as some deterioration of the next disc up (degenerative disc disease). I have all necessary medical documentation. I have been at the same dosage of 10mg for about 5 years now and feel that I need a higher dose as the pain is beginning to take a toll on my ability to be productive each day. do you know if there's a way to communicate outside of here so it's not blocked for privacy issues?
Hey man, I live in central Jersey and for four years have had bulging, herniated discs. Pinched nerves, severe pelvic pain(suspected to be a rheumatologists issue), post broken jaw pain, leg pain, and severe back pain. I'm in unbearable pain constantly and after my internist cut me off of my oxys two years ago, I've been unable to find a steady script. I've been thru countless procedures, diagnostics, inj's. and have tried every pain medication available pretty much. My groin, and pelvic floor and spine are in 24/7, unbearable pain. I need pain management and you're right about all the doctors spitting constant bulls***. I had no idea what suboxone was, and was prescribed that by a pm doc who said it was a great pain reliever and it was, obv. useless. and now, the record of me taking the only thing I could get at the Time, cause it made me able to at least work minimally active jobs, interferes with most pm docs decision to even let me in the door. and at the time I also didn't know it was a detoxification drug. So, I would appreciate more than anything some assistance in finding the a pain doc. Your email is edited for privacy. Please help me. I need my life back. Please respond. Idk how to get in touch with ppl on here, due to the privacy edits. Please contact me, my name is Matt. Thanks so much..
Hello, I read what you said and have to completely agree with you. I'm tired of my podiatrist, orthopedic, and my regular care doctor not prescribing me anything except schedule 4s when I suffer chronic pain and have so for years. It's debilitating my life. They won't prescribe what I use to receive and I'm tired of all these cortizone shots that don't do anything. I'm in the NJ area and if you see this and have the time I would very much appreciate your time in helping me. I want my life back on track. My mother has had man surgeries on her foot and now no doctor will give her anything but yet she's on ten other medications. Please help.
please assist as I have had cancer and many broken bones and am in constant pain. IM not looking to abuse anything just looking for a doctor who wont let me sufferr.
Hey could you please tell me who your doctor is? They keep cutting me. Got into nasty accident and guy keeps giving me perc or Ty 3s. Would be greatly Appreciated if you could help me out
It's crazy how harder it's getting for people with real pain to get pain meds just to have a comfortable good quality of life. My boyfriend is getting oxycodone prescribed bye his podiatrist but the thing that bothers me now Is now his podiatrist wants him to see a primary care doctor or pain specialist in order for my boyfriend to continue getting them prescribe bc he says he doesn't usually prescribe pain meds for a long period of time it's like my man lost a leg lost a toe on the only leg he has and has Charcot foot syndrome on the last leg which is a painful condition and now his doc just wants to push him over to someone else like what the hell he has been my mans podiatrist for like 9 years they have a great patient doctor relationship I mean when we talk to this doc it's like talking to a family friend he jokes around a lot etc so he should know if my man has to see another doc how hard it may be for him to get oxycodone prescribed considering how judgmental people are I can't even believe he's doing this to my boyfriend my boyfriend is trying to think optimistic about the possible change saying well if he refers me the doc will listen to him on prescribing oxycodone but I'm not feeling too positive about this I feel this could get ugly meaning they may try to cut him off or lower the dose or change what he's taking it really pisses me off my boyfriend I can tell is kinda down about it he doesn't even want to talk about it he just says well the podiatrist will prescribe them to me till I get another doc or pain specialist . My man also had kidney failure this just bothers me bc I don't want to see my boyfriend in pain I just hope the podiatrist reconsiders that decision and has a heart my man already has it hard has to have dyalasis in order. To live bc of his kidney failure ofcourse my boyfriend is grateful he has gotten oxycodone for a while now but still why would the podiatrist just want to pass him on to someone else it bothers me so much I want to call him and say do you realize what this could cause my boyfriend a life full of pain if the other doc decides not to continue oxycodone any advice maybe my boyfriend can change his mind
Hey what's up buddy. I can definitely relate to your story. I also broke my neck. I also have a herniated c3 through c7 and another bulging disc in my neck and tons of nerve damage. I was going to the same doctor for 13years and thanks outta no where he retired and didn't give any recommendations. He left me in the dark. So I would really appreciate if you could give me a diesant doctor in Jersey.
Have you true used a support belt for the bad day..I have an injury at the same spot..I use a neoprene belt when worst..Please be careful with narcotics (oxys) They can make you stumple and fall. Anti epileptic drugs sometimes work..And maybe a TENS device..
