Can't Find A Doctor Who Will Perscribe Soma?

I have a sacroiliac injury,I have had injections,because of the nature of the injury I can't take pain medications.Only rest and not moving to scratch an itch or something in my sleep,so I take a couple somas to stay pain free and wear a si joint belt.problem is I can't find a doctor who will prescribe this medication.Its not like I am addicted.I just don't want the awful pain.Its been 2 years of pain .I was athletic before my accident.Now a car ride is agony.

I'm sorry, but we have no way of knowing what any doctor will, or will not prescribe.

Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant, but some people do abuse it and doctors may be reluctant to prescribe it.

In addition, you may be creating a problem for yourself, if you see a new doctor and are asking for a specific medication. Most doctors see that as being drug seeking behavior.

When seeing a new doctor, it's really best to make sure that they receive a full copy of your medical records and to let them speak for themselves. In many cases, when they can see what is noted from other doctors as to the medications that have and have not worked for you, they are more likely to prescribe accordingly.
