Bipolar Medication

Can anyone recommend a new psych medication? I am bipolar and have tried lithium for 3 years, tegretol,abilify, respedal 4 mg& seroquel which worked the best. But due to vision problems I needed to stop after 3 years. Now I am on Zyprexa 20mg 2x a day for anxiety. Not feeling it. I need to find a drug that will work with my topomax.(Topomax 100mg for migraines. )does anyone have any suggestions?

What type of doctor have you been seeing? Sometimes, people do better with a combination of medications, when others aren't working by themselves and a psychiatrist would be the best person to help you find the right combination for you.

From your list, it seems you've not tried Depakote, yet. It contains the active ingredient Valproic Acid, but taking it with Topamax can cause increased toxicity, so your doctor would need to monitor you and adjust the dosages very carefully. Side effects to it may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and drowsiness.
