Accutane And Gout Flair Ups, High Purine Levels

Son now 35 yrs. took accutane as a teenager. When he was in his late 20's he developed gout. His purine levels were very high. After several yrs of trying to control his levels he recently began taking alpurinol. Could there be a connnection to between accutane and his gout issues

However I did come across other reviews on Google mentioning that Accutane could cause gout as a side effect. I posted one of the webpages below, but rest assured he's not the only one:

Legal action has and probably still is being taken against Accutane's manufacturer Roche. If it comes down to it, that may be another thing to consider looking into.

Is your son's gout assoicated with any other disease. Such as arthritic gout, diabetes etc???? If it started shortly after his course was over it could be possible it was do to accutane.
If you want some advice for controlling the gout for your son then buy some 100% pure cherry juice (it's not cheap) and get a bottle of water, drink it to the rim of the label and then add some cherry juice drink about 1/4 cup 1 to 2 times a day and it should clear the gout!
