Zubsolve/suboxone Prison

I am currently on (2) Zubsolve tablets per day, and along with initial suboxone treatment, this has been a nightmare for me to try to get off of. My body reacts terribly with withdrawal symptoms much worse than any opiate pills I took. It's as if I am living in a really dark tunnel, and can barely get out of bed. In my mind, 3 years of being in an Opiate Treatment Program has only resulted in more money for the Doctor's and Insurance. I so badly now want off, because if I run out, my body becomes violently ill and I am unable to function. I almost always take more than my recommended and prescribed dose, hello....I am an addict, which always leads to the same insanity of going without or calling the clinic nurse and doctor who are less than happy with you for taking more. Man the guilt they lay on you is short of dreadful, and the only solution that I can see for myself in the future, is to go off of it completely. It's a fact that now, I am in the same squirrel cage I was into begin with, but it's worse because it's prescribed. Do these Doctor's or Drug Companies have any idea how horrible drug addiction is? Why would giving any one another Opiate, such as Zubsolve or Suboxone be even considered an effective or successful treatment plan?! I question the fact that I was even prescribed this drug or diagnosed with Opiate Dependence, when in fact my relapse was really more on benzo's than Opiates, although I will take anything, given the right circumstances. Has anyone else on this Forum had the awful withdrawals from this drug as I have? Honestly, if I stop taking this, the depression that hit's me is unbearable to the point of not being able to get out of bed other than to go to the bathroom, or to drink some fluids. Forget eating. The first year I was on the Suboxone film's, I was in seventh Heaven, but now I have been maintaining just like any other drug. Please, if any of you have had similar experiences, could you please let me know? Have any of you been able to successfully taper off of zubsolve and stay off? I genuinely don't know if I will ever be able to live my life without this crap. My husband thinks I would have relapsed on drugs and alcohol had I not been on this, which I have a couple times, but these slips have been short compared to my binges years ago. I try to tell him it is still an Opiate, just a synthetic one. I used to be a nurse years ago, so I remember when Oxycontin came out on the market, with that said, how could Big Pharma not realize or foresee the danger in that drug? So now we are on Zubsolve? Scary to think what long term use can and might do to our brains. My advice, get off of this as soon as possible, or better yet, don't go on it. Sure, it works well in the beginning, but trust me, in time all drugs and alcohol just don't work any more. I am a proven fact folks. If any of you have had the same experience's, please write. Thanks, I really appreciate being able to write about this to some one.

I totally relate to everything said. I would die to find a cure for opiate addiction. The only way I can realistically think of quitting which was successful, was cutting back. Not just like half your dose the next day. Give yourself as much time as you need. Take a microscopic amount less. So little you won't notice it. I mean like the size of a pinhead. Do this for like... A week/ month(whatever.) Get rid of tiny pinhead pieces, you will end up doing it. This is the only thing that worked for me without feeling like death. Sometimes I wonder if this crap is just some other form of enslavement from the government. We're killing ourselves paying for it, and the insurance. (Don't get me started on authorizations now) I hope this helps, it's the only way I've gotten myself down.
